It would also surely give Putin the chance to drape himself in the flag and extend the draft to the rest of the population. An attack on Russia/ Russian interests would be an attack on Putin, and vice versa. My real concern is that if Trump is baited into even the focused use of force like we saw with Iran, Putin has the excuse he needs. And I doubt he is not above defending his interests with nuclear weapons when he is losing.
At this point general mobilization would be a disaster regardless the stated cause. The economy is already suffering due to worker shortages. Russia is doing everything in its power to get bodies from almost anywhere else (a new group of North Koreans are on the way). Even if he fully mobilized, this wave of new troops can't be adequately armed. Russian armor in virtually non-existent. The few T-90's in production are being culled as soon as they appear on the battlefield.

Defending one's interests with nukes is defense via national suicide. Whatever Russia attempted to do the the West would be visited upon them many fold. Whether Putin fully understands this or not, his military leadership does.

Looney Tunes, James Carville, stated that the passing of Trump's bill will be a mass extinction event, and it will cost Republican's the majority.

Losing Ukraine is not the same as losing the motherland. Putin would not use nuclear weapons over Ukraine. This kind of thinking is what Biden bought into and Putin wants so he can take Ukraine while the West cowers in a corner.

A little insight from the terminator himself

Trump gave Putin an exit. Trump basically sacrificed the credibility of the US with its allies in order to create the environment for a peace that benefits Russia. Now that he has refused to take it, I don’t see how Putin saves himself. If he doesn’t draw the US into a war, so he can create a reason for his ongoing existence, it seems to me his time is limited. He needs conflict with the west to galvanize his support or he just looks like the weak dictator who shredded any ounce of influence Russia had in the world. That is not a good look for dictators. That’s why I am concerned about his brinkmanship now when I wasn’t previously.

You’d think someone who has been so wrong in his recent predictions might have the good sense to keep his mouth closed for a while but I suppose he has nothing to lose at this point. Being irrelevant must seem worse than being a fool.

It’s easy to agree with Red Leg. Since this is kind of his bailiwick.

Just give the Ukrainians overwhelming firepower and missile defense.

And then maybe threaten to unleash the Polish Army.
Even before the Russian invasion, I said that if we sold Ukraine an Air Force, they would smoke the Russians inside of a month.

Instead we give them a little bit here and there, then hold them back by placing restrictions on how they can use what we provide.

Gentlemen. We must pause and reflect for a moment. This is truly an auspicious time

Spewing doom & gloom seems to be all the democrats are capable of these days.

Keep praying for the families who lost loved ones in Kerrville, San Antonio, and even Round Rock, Tx. the death total is above 30 with 20 or more still missing. Heartbreaking that many were children at church camp. The beautiful Frio River became a death trap, and without much warning.

There are very few problems that can't be fixed with either $700 or a .30-06

We were hammered pretty good along the San Gabriel as well, though nothing like Hill Country. Thankfully, we had six-hours of warning. The San Gabriel crested right at thirty feet. Shipped Nancy and two dogs to our son's house and Rigby and I rode it out. All the outbuildings survived and the house is dry, but the fencing and entrance way were destroyed. I would guess six weeks of clean-up once the ground dries. Not complaining in the least. We are simply praying for those folks to the west of us.

Taken at around crest. The river is almost a quarter mile out from the photo and has 15 to 20ft bluffs along our property line. Thought we might have one of those horizonless pools for a while.

I was wondering how you were doing!? Sorry about the damage but glad you are safe and that your house did not flood.

Hate that for you Joe. Happy that you got the wife and dogs to safety and were able to ride it out safely yourself.

If you need help with cleanup after the water recedes, I’m guessing there’s an AH crew willing to assemble and head your direction with chainsaws, generators, pumps, etc for a weekend.. please don’t hesitate to say the word..

I’ve got a squad sized element of former rangers, Marines, and SF bubbas up here that I hunt with that would happily convoy down to assist…

Appreciate it, but I got this. During the ice storm a few years ago, I invested in a front grapple for the tractor - incredible invention. Just need the ground to dry out.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
