It was stated by the talking heads that Iran has/had enough enriched uranium for approximately 10 nuclear bombs.

Where is it?
I think that right now it is under about as much earth and rubble, as when it was originally mined.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
It takes a lot of time and money to reach the 90% enrichment for weapons grade material.
The Iranians probably knew it was a high probability that they would get hit.
It would be prudent to protect that material at a location that wasn't on the radar of forces wanting to blow it up.

Supply of warheads to Iran?

That could get very dangerous very fast

For all of us
Medvedev hasn’t threatened nuclear war for a month or more. Probably been hitting the vodka again.

I'd be surprised if large quantities of weapons grade nuclear material could be transported to another place than where it was produced, without it being picked up by one of the nuclear watchdog's or intelligence agencies. That's a pretty big signature.

I do not think anything "leaked." There was an obvious (2-3 week) window of opportunity for the US to act if it was going to do so.

The general on line consensus is there were five flights by Chinese military 747's to and from Iran leading up to the attack. I would suggest that the most likely mission was invacuating Chinese nationals and senior Iranian government/military personnel and families. They may well have also brought in some specialized military equipment (for all the good it did), and it is possible some critical nuclear related equipment was salvaged ahead of time - even enriched Uranium - though that can not be transported casually, and would be difficult to accomplish under the noses of the IAEA.

Still, much of nuclear weapon development is industrial level. It requires large numbers of centrifuges and it requires nuclear reactors. None of that is salvageable with a 747.

Finally, such an action by China would carry enormous strategic risk with regard to the US.
Thanks for your comprehensive response. I have to wonder if we had some evidence indicating China assisted Iran in transporting Iran’s enriched uranium out of Iran to China, and while I’m no expert I think they would have the technology and ability to safely transport it, would they truly be that concerned with our response?

They have been engaged in espionage against the U.S. for years in a variety of areas worthy of a separate thread and I believe the FBI considers them the top counterintelligence threat we now face. I think it likely they would simply deny and use propaganda, something that they are unfortunately very good at apparently, if you use Covid as an example, clearly most likely originating from the Wuhan Lab but they have been very successful in redirecting through propaganda and zero economic culpability for the devastation it caused worldwide.

I have to wonder based on their longstanding hostility and undermining of the U.S. that they would simply go into propaganda mode if “caught,” something that apparently works for them since we’re consistently catching them conducting espionage in the U.S. Anyways, I’m thankful that Iran’s nuclear ambitions have been hopefully curtailed for the foreseeable future.

Assuming you can get through the five minutes of the cloyingly obsequious Hegseth praising his boss, the CJCS provides a surprisingly candid description of the actions taken and what was used.

I fully concur with @Altitude sickness, Kurilla has a superb reputation among combat arms soldiers in the army, and the more I see of the new Chairman, the more impressed I am.

125 total aircraft
7 B-2 bombers - flew east from Whiteman directly to the target
Small group flew as a decoy set into the Pacific.
14 GBU-57 bombs were employed
75 total precision guided weapons

Hit the bastards again, may be they did not get it all destroyed, never think there done.

And once again Trump is misquoted. This is NOT what he said, "The US entered the war two days after President Trump said he wanted to allow a two-week window to give diplomacy a chance."
He said he would decide by the end of the next 2 weeks. Huge difference. But no surprise the news outlets continue to misrepresent the actual words Trumps said.

More nonsense from the hand-wringing international media. Quote: “This is the great irony," warns Ms Geranmayeh. "Although Trump has sought to eliminate the nuclear threat from Iran, he has now made it far more likely that Iran becomes a nuclear state."

Far more likely? What does she make of Iran processing uranium to 60%? There’s no civilian energy application that requires 60%. They were certain to develop a nuke if left to their own devices. Have we ended their nuclear weapons program forever? Maybe not….but doing nothing would ensure they finished development soon…and led the most unstable region on earth to a nuclear arms race.
