I answered your question previously and will ask you what would you do differently. Iran (backed by Russia) is at war with Israel (backed by US), Russia main supplier of drones has been Iran (which I am guessing might be running a little low). So there is probably some information to be gathered.

Yes to the first question, or at least start with "Are you going to be serious this time? If not you're wasting my time and I am tired of you stalling and nothing happening." Give him a chance to have serious talks - which is more than he deserves - backed by action, or... not give him the time of day. So yes.

To the second question, I don't have Twitter or X or anything else, so no, I would not do that. But that's pretty much been his MO - what he does to all the time to anyone else who doesn't 'bend to his will' (eye roll) so why should he treat Putin any different? For some reason he continues to make decisions with regards to Putin that feel strongly like a reckless puppy rolling over in front of an alpha male. So yes sir, I would very much prefer he quit doing that.

Why not tell Putin he has 30 days to get every troop back over the 2014(?) Russian boarder or Ukraine will have the entire US armoury at their disposal. Russia can’t even advance on a country defending themselves with surplus leftover munitions and conscripts.

Has there been a transcript released? I dont know why him taking a phone call is the equivalent of a puppy rolling over. I'm not sure how anything will be accomplished by not given him the time of day, also doesn't give you the benefit of gaining insight into your enemy.

In all honesty, I don't get his approach with regards to Russia/Putin. But as I have said before the goal isn't to have Ukraine win but to have Russia burn through resources, so actually having peace or a Ukrainian win, would be counter to that plan. For example, Russian isn't much use to Iran right now.

I can get on board with this better than not taking the call. The difference is I would tell him we are selling Z whatever he wants for a dollar, and there is no strings attached.

Though I doubt they would go to 2014 boarders but it is a good starting point.

Absolutely. It is why I would prefer we take out the FODOR site near Qom. The Israelis do not have a weapon other than a nuke capable of doing it. We do have a conventional bomb and delivery means capable of destroying it. If they conclude that Iran is actually assembling a nuclear device in FODOR they may very well determine that they have to act.

Thats a fair statement. But I think there would have to be a change in the current course (like US given more weapons, changing the ROE) if not it is a war of attrition and will be much harder for Ukraine to take back terrority.

I think that may well be Trump’s strategy currently. He has already ordered deployment of B-2 bombers to the region with one must assume the munitions capable of taking out the site. Unfortunately, to simply take preemptive action would run a risk of splintering his base. Real influencers like Charlie Kirk, not just crazies like Carlson, are very much of the Neo-isolationist mindset. Therefore, rather than simply acting, he has instead made several statements that any Iranian attack against US personnel would be met with serious consequences. You will remember the Iraqi surrogates launched numerous rockets at our assets in the region at the end of the Biden administration. However, thus far, Iran has been very careful to insure no US base in the region has been struck, to include by its proxies.

This creates a real problem for the Israeli leadership. Publicly, and one must assume privately, Netanyahu has been virtually begging the US to act. You can be assured that CENTCOM has a strike plan ready. But, Iran may very well not provide the administration the Casus beli it needs. That may force Israel into a terrible choice or truly test Trump’s mettle and control of his coalition.
