Completely concur...

The professor has obviously never had his ass whipped before..

Normally once an ass has been suitably whipped, the whipped party is very eager to negotiate..

Its just a question of how much of an ass whipping Israel has to deliver before Iran desires negotiation..
Obviously the professor has never had a good attitude adjustment before. That’s what’s wrong with a lot of people

Is that some serious S&M ..or just 50 shades of grey out of interest?..... :E Rofl: disclaimer..never watched or read any of those.....just heard the talk ...mostly from the fair sex.....:E Hmmm::E Big Grin:

Missiles now incoming to Israel. Will Israel ramp it up/target oil fueling platforms, etc.? Waiting to see if the objective of nuclear deterence has been adequately met.

We do not use Iranian oil and the only negative impact will be the oil prices going up. Which is actually a good thing for small producers here in the USA.

In regard to gas prices, gallon of gas is expected to go up by 65 cents here in CA next month due to new regulations and additional CA excise taxes kicking in.

I hope you got a chance for a few shore lunches, fresh pickerel (walleye) over an open fire, nothing better. Pike can be every bit as good, just harder to fillet. Lake trout poached with lemon and dill is also yum yum!
80 walleyes! Pffftttt we may not have been so welcoming if we had known you were going to catch all the fish :) Congratulations on what must have been a great trip
Rest easy, we would only keep three per boat for a shoreside lunch. All the others were tenderly and gratefully returned to the lake. No pike were kept. We did keep this lake trout and had him smoked that evening. Wonderful.

I would like to know how successful the Israeli strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities actually have been. I have no doubt that the deaths of key scientists and the destruction of above ground facilities will cause delays in their nuclear program. But the Fordow Nuclear Enrichment Facility near the city of Qom apparently has not been damaged. It is inside a mountain and its construction is analogous to Cheyenne Mountain. It would be vulnerable to an atomic deep penetrator, but the Israelis have no conventional munition that can penetrate 100 meters of mountain and reinforced concrete.

The US has developed a conventional weapon that would do it. The Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP - not the MOAB) weighs 30,000 lbs and was designed for just this mission. Unfortunately, Israel has nothing that can deliver such a bomb. Were this a US strike, it would be deployed by B2 bombers.

On the bright side.
If BiBi pulls this off...and finishes the mission...we very well may have access to prime Markor and Ibex country in the very near future.
Fingers crossed
Cheers

Do the Iranians have any surface missile technology that could shoot down a MOP/MOAB type of bomb? I assume a B2 or similar high-altitude bomber would be at risk over Iranian air space from surface to air missiles or engagement by fighters?

Why are we dancing around. The Iranian leadership hate the U.S., blame the U.S. and will attack the U.S. as a result of the Israel attack.

Hopefully the centrifuges have been disabled with a simultaneous Cyber attack.

Trump did state that if Iran struck U.S. interests, that the gloves were coming off. Negotiations will just prolong this. Allowing them to spin up more fuel.

This plan to destroy the key facilities should have already been pre approved by the Arab nations and our Allies.

The Iranians are incapable of detecting the B2 to target it and have no capability to engage a MOB once released. The B2 can carry two. Several B2’s were forward deployed to Diego Garcia a few weeks ago because of this capability among others.

Both the Iranian air defense and Air Force capability is quite outdated. There is a deal in the works to eventually improve both with Russian systems, but Russian production is unable to support much in the way of export at the moment.

Interesting

Thanks for that

This is not a process that can be stopped

There really is no turning back

Either the nuclear threat is eliminated or the regime is toppled or both

The US must be under huge pressure to target that nuclear facility hidden deep within that mountain

No other outcome than the elimination of the nuclear threat can really be acceptable

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson (or Chatsworth as Rush Limbaugh preferred to sarcastically refer to him) has completely lost his mind. Then again, as a Putin stooge perhaps he is required to support Russia's allies as well.

There is, unfortunately, a neo-isolationist movement in this country that simply laps up this sort of hysteria.

These are a few of Tucker's observations over the last few days as they appeared on X and elsewhere. Copied for those who do not have an X account.

"It’s worth pointing out that a strike on the Iranian nuclear sites will almost certainly result in thousands of American deaths at bases throughout the Middle East, and cost the United States tens of billions of dollars. The cost of future acts of terrorism on American soil may be even higher. Those aren’t guesses. Those are the Pentagon’s own estimates. (I seem to have missed that). A bombing campaign against Iran will set off a war, and it will be America’s war. Don’t let the propagandists lie to you."

"It’s a lie. In fact, there is zero credible intelligence that suggests Iran is anywhere near building a bomb, or has plans to. None. Anyone who claims otherwise is ignorant or dishonest. If the US government knew Iran was weeks from possessing a nuclear weapon, we’d be at war already.Iran knows this, which is why they aren’t building one. Iran also knows it’s unwise to give up its weapons program entirely. Muammar Gaddafi tried that and wound up sodomized with a bayonet. As soon as Gaddafi disarmed, NATO killed him. Iran’s leaders saw that happen. They learned the obvious lesson."
(Perhaps it is just me, but the second half of this nonsense seems to refute the first part).

"A war with Iran would amount to a profound betrayal of his (Trump's) supporters. It would end his presidency. That may explain why so many of Trump’s enemies are advocating for it."

"Iran may not have nukes, but it has a fearsome arsenal of ballistic missiles, many of which are aimed at US military installations in the Gulf, as well as at our allies and at critical energy infrastructure. The first week of a war with Iran could easily kill thousands of Americans. It could also collapse our economy, as surging oil prices trigger unmanageable inflation. Consider the effects of $30 gasoline."

"While it’s often described as a rogue state, Iran has powerful allies. It’s now part of a global bloc called BRICS, which represents the majority of the world’s landmass, population, economy and military power. Iran has extensive military ties with Russia. It sells the overwhelming majority of its oil exports to China. Iran isn’t alone. An attack on Iran could very easily become a world war. We’d lose."

As I read that last quote, I admit I was spellbound for a moment imagining the armed forces of Southern Africa, Southeast Asia, and India led by the remnants of the mighty Russian Army advancing in lockstep against the US and its allies (assuming Trump hasn't run them all off).

Put you back in command of a brigade and it would be the modern ground war equivalent to the Great Marianas Turkey Shoot!
