As I understand it Congress has the ability to establish and eliminate the lower federal courts, but POTUS does not.

the 9th Circus has been the laughing stock of the US federal court system for a very long time.. since 2007 SCOTUS has overturned 71% of all of the 9th Circuits rulings.. that includes periods of time when SCOTUS was considered to also be a liberal court.. I would imagine over the next few years while SCOTUS is marginally "conservative" (some of the conservative members are really more middle of the road justices) that the % of overturned cases will go up dramatically..

That said, there's a short window of time for this to get pushed up to SCOTUS if the 9th's "review" doesn't come back favorably for Trump... If Trump doesn't want to turn control of the CA NG back over to Newsome he is going to have to figure out another path if the review doesn't go favorably (I feel pretty certain his team will... they wont turn power back over without sending 2000-4000 additional federal troops to backfill any void created.. which would start to become a difficult matter in and of itself without taking some other actions.. Right now the Marines are "securing federal buildings and personnel".. once they start actively doing riot control, there are some pretty steep legal mountains to climb I believe..

The last time the NG was mobilized and the Marines were called in (1992 riots) it only took a few days to get things back under control.. I think there's a strong chance that the "review" will purposefully take a week or longer.. and by that time their decision might well be moot... (riots are over with and ICE is locking up large numbers of illegals)..

The real need for speed is to get the ones financing the riots before a judge. Get some of them fined/in jail and a lot of metrics will improve. Maybe even jail the ones rioting for a paycheck, but for sure the ones providing said paycheck. Ads in Craigslist offering 1000 dollars should be tracked down.

Federal judge accused Trump of acting illegally and violating the 10th amendment.
I don't see it, and it should be a slam dunk overturn by an appeals court, over federal judges trying to usurp Trumps legal authority for political means.

the 2 primary financers are the State of California.. and a US billionaire and his wife who live in China..

first you're going to have to get a CA court to hear the case (low chance of that).. and then you're going to have to figure out how to get the other parties to court..

Right now they are only dealing with the military and intelligence capabilities of Israel..

Launch an attack on US soil (or US interests abroad) either directly or through a proxy, and US F35's, F22's, and B2's will be flying over Iranian airspace within 48 hours..

Unlike Israel, the US has a significant amount of military power present within close striking distance of Iran (Naval forces in the Persian Gulf).. Israel is having to fly over Jordanian and Iraqi airspace to reach Iran.. The US doesn't have that limitation.. We have even more capable assets that are substantially closer to Tehran..

If Iran didn't learn anything else from the US invasion of Iraq.. it learned the US can roll over the entire country with heavy armor and troops in a matter of only a few days once air superiority is obtained.. while they could continue to fight an insurgent/guerilla war for a pretty long period of time, they would quite literally lose the entire country and most of the mullahs and generals in power would be dead in a matter of days.. their energy infrastructure would be completely gone, their economy would be completely gone, etc..

Iraq didn't stand a chance.. and they were a better equipped and better trained military than Iran.. and the US didn't have 20+ years of active war fighting experience in its recent history..

Iran is largely using equipment older than what the Russians are left using in Ukraine right now, and has no means of resupply (the Russians, NORKS, Chinese, etc are all dumping what they can spare into Russia/Ukraine..

Theyre very good at funding and supporting proxy organizations that rely on terror tactics...

Theyre not going to be so great at fighting in a direct conflict with a western super power..

And while I am sure they'd love to see Islam defeat the western devils, etc..etc.. Im pretty convinced that the Ayotollahs prioritize their own survival over that..

Could certainly happen.. but I think the end result would be the same..

Lone wolf, or purposely directed by Iran doesn't really matter.. if they are an Iranian asset that attacks the US, I think the US response would make what Israel has done over the last 12 hours look like childs play..

Thats not to say the Israelis arent a fully capable fighting force (its notable that 5 of the Iranian generals killed last night are being reported as on the ground assassinations by Israeli SOF or Inteligence assets).. that's just to say that the US has a LOT more "stuff" at its disposal than Israel does, and a lot more advanced "stuff" than Israel does.. and I think Trump is more than willing to use it if provoked..

To change gears just a bit, am on my return leg from God’s Lake Manitoba after a few days of battling hypothermia and still catching a few fish - about eighty walleye, a couple of dozen or so northerns, and my first lake trout. Everyone we met from Canadian security and customs, outfitter and guides, hotels and restaurants, and even uber drivers could not have been more courteous or helpful.
