Don’t misjudge us old guys . Well, I’m not sure 60 is old? Still have similar strength like when I was 30 but definitely not the speed and reflexes. You don’t know our background, training regimen, martial arts expertise, dirty tricks etc..

Recently watched Mariusz Pudzianowski, 48, lose by 30 second 1st rd TKO to Eddie Hall, 37 and that was an 11year age difference but assuredly a different result with a younger Pudzianowski who was far more experienced, so yes youth has a clear edge depending on the circumstances. That’s why us old guys gotta end it quick and dirty!

The reality is nobody here is going to fight one another, ever and I suspect in the event of meeting one another, I believe it would be very cordial with mutual respect. It’s not hard to get riled up on the political stuff.

When I joined this forum I figured that if anyone wants to find me to kick my butt, a couple hundred bucks and someone will find my name and address. Using my real name keeps me honest and respectfull to all, much like in a face to face onversation.

Something our police members know well, no matter if one is the biggest, strongest, and best fighter ever born, they should watch out for the little guy, even teenagers or old men, who is not afraid to kill you.

Let's all remember that although we may not agree on politics, CBL hunts, Blasers or Mausers, and so on, we all have at least 95% in common. Let's focus on what we share!

I’m currently sitting in a waiting room while a bunch of doctors try to decide if his hearts strong enough to take the being put under so they could operate to get the kidney stone that’s large enough he can’t pass and is causing him a severe bleed. On top of that I’ve got to be back to the boat at midnight to go again.

The only reason I responded at all was to state that I did care when someone said you should commit suicide, the rest of what your guys have going on you can have.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope they are able to give him some relief.

Generally I would agree with you. His consistent disdain and written vitriol is hard to stomach, so on occasion... I respond. And yes I do have him blocked but I sometimes look when a member I hold in higher regard is responding to him about something he directed at them.

Hate to hear that @Tubby’s Canteen .. Ive been dealing with aging parents and their associated medical issues for the last few years.. never fun.. and especially crappy when the person suffering is someone you truly love and respect..

I thought so until we just dealt with my dad passing a gall stone through his pancreas. Close to killed him. 2 1/2 weeks in hospital and not out of the woods yet! As @mdwest said, it’s tough to see aging parents going through this crap.

I know it! My parents are both 85 years old, and it's tough to see them decline. My mom had a bad Diverticulitis flare up, in which the Docs had to go in and remove 8-12" of her Colon, and an 8 hrs surgery. I was scared sh*tless and thought my mom was not going to tolerate the surgery. Thank God, and she did, and the recovery was as challenging as the surgery. I stay vert close to them, even though we are one state away. I also remind them how much I love them and appreciate everything they did to raise me. At that age, the expiration date is near.

I feel for everyone going through the decline of loved ones, my dad is 92 and every time the phone rings I fear the worst.

My mom is 87 and taking care of him but it’s tough. A couple of years ago my sister and I convinced her she needed help and as stubborn as she is she agreed. Heading up to Auburn tomorrow to spend Mother’s Day with them but it’s always bittersweet seeing loved ones in steep decline.

Not weeping and gnashing. For me it's closer to embarrassment? If I tried the things in my job that he does I would wind up fired. Why is OK to excuse such behavior from the POTUS? Is a little bit of class or dignity too much to expect? I want someone who acts the part of the adult in the room, not a master troll/5 year old wannabe bully. But clearly not everyone wants to be represented by someone with some rudimentary level of decorum.

Considering that 1 year ago today Tesla stock was selling at $171 a share.. and today it is trading at $297.. I don't think Elon is sorry at all...

I think he is likely laughing all the way to the bank..

Sales mean nothing to a shareholder.. share value is all that matters..

Sales can indeed impact share value.. but if you think sales is the only thing that drives the market.. you probably should do a little more research..

liberals congratulating themselves on the devaluation of tesla in March conveniently forget how it was artificially inflated in November when Trump won the election.. it bounced from the low 200's to almost 480 within 60 days..

It then took a nose dive starting in early February.. that lasted a whopping 30 days.. and now has been climbing again for the last 2 months.. and is a full 57% more valuable today than it was a year ago..

I only wish I had bought a few thousand shares last year so I could have made 57% on my money like Elon has made on his billions over the last 12 months..

With all of that information now on the table.. do you really think Elon is sorry that Sweedes arent buying Teslas? or that he's lost even a single wink of sleep over it?

On May 9 (this morning) Forbes estimated Musks current net worth to be $342B..

In October of 2024 his net worth was $256B..

I suppose he's just distraught over those sales figures lol..

My issue is that he is President of the United States - not a teenager or frat boy - or as all his excuse makers suggest - a troll. I voted for him, and yet I actually feel embarrassed even somewhat ashamed as a citizen because of his adolescent behavior. I could care less how much he thinks reactions are exactly what he wants - whatever that might actually entail. What I do care about and what I am convinced of is that his behavior is costing this country in the long run in a host of different ways. I am very much afraid historians will have a field day sifting through those costs.

I readily admit I think he is an unconditional asshole.. and behaves like a petulant child at times.. and that its unbecoming of any leader.. whether we're talking a senior executive, senior officer, or the president of the united states (or any other head of state).. I don't like it at all...

I also have no problem with people calling a spade a spade and recognizing the behavior..

Where I get confused isn't in posts by yourself, tundra, or others that similarly point out when he's acting like a jackass and factually assert how his assholeness is actually harmful rather than helpful to whatever situation is at hand..

Its in the silly, irrational, emotional responses that clearly are hate based and otherwise unsubstantiated by any fact or truth.. or demonstrate only half truths and facts and intentionally leave out relevant information that changes the truth..

Ive gotten to where I cant even read his Truth account anymore unless I am intentionally going there to confirm or deny something that he's supposedly said..

Its truly terrible.. Youd think he'd have someone managing all social media for him (I do.. and I don't have nearly as much wasta as POTUS).. ultimately I approve what goes out on my firms twitter, LinkedIn, FB, etc.. if its got my signature on it.. but I sure as hell don't write it..

But, I am also convinced that this childish behavior, intellectual vacuousness, and lack of judgement can create a very real predisposition for fence sitters to agree with the irrational hater crowd solidifying and reinforcing the real opposition at a time when they should be as weak as any point in the last fifty years. Perhaps nothing would have changed, but he has certainly made it easy for the liberal press to remain thoroughly entrenched following the election.
