If you want consideration from the right, John Kennedy is a good start. He's got a fairly solid following and seems to largely be trusted. He is far more "center right" than Schiff is "center left" (Schiff is an extreme leftist).. although most believe John Kennedy is quite a bit harder right leaning than he claims to be.. If nothing else he's a lot easier to trust.. Some on the left might call him out because they don't share his beliefs.. but he hasn't been caught in multiple scandals, caught outright intentionally lying and/or manipulating, etc like Schiff has..

Intentionally lying like schiff.

That reminds me.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the House and Senate passed legislation that congressmen and senators fall under the same laws as the public and are not allowed to lie in committee when the witness is under oath.
Of course, neither the left or right want that.

Thats actually not a horrible idea..

Its a "feel good" move only really.. Newfoundland isn't far enough north to have the same strategic value as Greenland if the concern is Russian and/or Chinese nukes or hypersonics..

But.. it forces a decision by Trump, and offers something out of the box as an option that he might well like.. Theres also a handful of abandoned US military bases already in Newfoundland that could be refurbished and reoccupied fairly easy (comparatively to opening a new base from the ground up)..

US pays to refurb Ernest Harmon AFB or Pepperrell ABD.. then occupies it with about 3000 people from the USAF and Space Force.. which helps with the local economy (3000 US military personnel will shop at the local grocery store, fuel up at the local gas stations, rent housing within 20 miles of the base, etc..etc..).. Trump gets to play like he got a "victory"... Canada then leverages that for some better positioning in the trade/tariff discussions..

Potential win-win for everyone.. and helps rebuild grass roots relationships (Newfoundland determines it likes the US, because the air base is enriching Newfoundland.. )...

With a support base in nfd, there are any number of old dewline sites to have a forward operation base at, pretty much pick a deep water harbour in the artic as far north as needed and build away. I’m not going to begin to try and list some of the place names up there but you get the point.

Today, the Russian Federation - you know those poor misunderstood people straddling Europe and Asia - carried out a guided missile strike against the commercial center of the Ukrainian city of Sumy. Over thirty civilians were killed and another 80-100 injured. The weapon used was an Iskander Ballistic Missile with a range probable error of around 30 feet. It carries an 800 to 1500 lb conventional warhead depending on the model. It was right on target, dead center the square. The pro Russian contingent here really should look through the photos below.

One of the critical military assets destroyed in the strike was an organist of national renown by the name of Olena Kohut. Here talent is worth remembering for a few moments after her shredded body was removed from the scene of the strike.

Sadly, our administration and the man who would end the war in 24 hours seem oblivious to Russia blatantly and brutally ignoring any proposed ceasefire.

I hope there is a warm spot in hell set aside for these poor misunderstood folks! And our leadership is making moves to appease these folks??? They prove time and again that they cannot be trusted and will not stop unless forced to do so. It is the height of arrogance to think that we can negotiate meaningful peace with them.

Father was found of saying “ there is nothing you can do too the Russians that hasn’t already been done to the Russians by the Russians”

I guess people saying he caved to market forces got to him, so he had to walk it back. I am having issues on how to quote electronics for clients (putting an exception on possible tariff cost increase). I'd hate to be in the shoes of purchasing agents procuring products with long lead times and high value.

JIT (Just In Time) manufacturing model is going to be very unpredictable when tariffs seem to change at a whim.

A friend in Europe sent me this.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Not to diminish the damage and impact to the people killed and their families. Or implying it’s ok.

Just an observation from the photos. The damage is not what we would expect from even a 500 bomb laying static on the ground. Let alone traveling at the speed of these missiles. This missile either had less munitions, (not likely).
More likely is it failed to detonate.

There should be far more damage to trees, and especially the buildings.

If it failed to detonate, there would be a scar on the ground and a bunch of missile wreckage. There would be no explosion of any type, The fuel on a ballistic missile burns up in the first few seconds of flight. I can't post the burn time of an ATACMS (roughly analogous), but it is well under a minute. The only casualties would be someone unlucky enough to be hit by the body of the missile.

Looks about what I would expect from a 500lb explosive blast, and a casualty count in the range of 150 would seem to underscore that conclusion.

Speed would have no effect on the blast of an HE explosive (also notes the artilleryman). It is a chemical reaction. Kinetic energy can be employed as a penetration aid, but this was obviously not a warhead designed for penetration so velocity would have no effect on the size of the blast. I also suspect it was the lighter of its range of warheads (500 lbs) because that is the longest range variant.

Some more footage of the aftermath that focuses on things besides butchered civilians.

Got to love dealing with elections Canada after finally getting someone on the phone I got told they are aware of the problem and are “hoping”to have voter cards to us before the early voting polls.

This is from a 500r same delivery system. This is more of what I would expect from 500 pounds. Even without a direct impact, there should’ve been more damage to that building. Looks like damage from a secondary explosion to me.

My initial point was that it’s a very unreliable system. Accuracy and detonation wise.

This is interesting

The first I’ve heard of it

I’m the only surviving family member as far as i’m aware

I shall look into it

Not holding my breath though !
