Average citizen in US is only capable of reading at the 8th grade level.Of course, and in 30 years I will be guilty of calling younger generations entitled. It is measurable that the dollar is worth far less and American buying power has been significantly reduced. That was my main point in the first post. I’m a fan of allowing citizens the option to opt in or out of SS and Medicare. That would at least give younger people the freedom to choose where their money goes.
I said Biden not Democrats. What? Are you serious? Schumer all but called for Kavanaugh’s head! Impeachment and loading (expanding) the SCOTUS were called for by lots of liberals.
Tend to agree with you on your assessment. However, I do think Roberts needs to pointedly remind himself, the SCOTUS, and the lower courts that they are not the Executive branch, that we have a separation of powers, and that issuing orders/injunctions on clearly legal actions by the Executive branch needs to be tempered. The judge ordering the aircraft taking illegal, criminal aliens out of the country to turn around is completely out of line, as that is clearly a duty of the Executive branch enforcing laws enacted by the Congress. I think the courts have overstepped their bounds any number of times, especially as of late, and am worried about a show down between the Executive and Judicial branches due to judges being activists. The judiciary is not immune from political leaning, sometimes heavily so, but that needs to be tempered in action or the other two branches will, at some point, begin to ignore them, which is not good either as it will disrupt the balance that should be kept between the branches.I am not sure what you are referring to with respect to this allegation. No Tittle IX appeal has reached the Supreme Court yet concerning Trump's EO's in that regard. The only ruling that did occur of which I am aware with respect to Title IX was in August of 24 when Roberts and Barret joined in a 5/4 ruling (to which Sotomayor dissented) to deny an emergency request from the Biden administration to partially lift injunctions blocking its 2024 Title IX rule. That ruling essentially allowed the Biden initiative to continue to work is way through the courts.
Barret has proven to be a fairly reliable conservative (she voted to overturn Roe v Wade), but also one who clearly believes in judicial regular order. I am not sure that is a bad thing. Roberts, as Chief Justice, has clearly seen his role as a consensus builder whenever possible.

I certainly agree with your take on many of the lower courts. My response was with respect to SCOTUS. It seems pretty clear with respect to the host of suits against the president, that Roberts, and I suspect Barret, would prefer them to reach them through appeal rather than emergency rulings.Tend to agree with you on your assessment. Except for the nether regions of the internet, I again would simply point to the deafening silence following the Trump release.
I would highly recommend adding to any skeptic's reading list works like Gerald Posner's 1993 "Case Closed," and Vincent Bugliosi 2007 "Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy." The latter is Tolstoian in length, but very comprehensive.
Also, Lucien Haag's ballistic studies should interest any firearms enthusiast. (the conspiracy crowd hated his assessment). https://journals.lww.com/amjforensi..._and_Misunderstood_Wound_Ballistics_in.6.aspx
Generally agree with you, however on the ballistic studies I've watched documentaries that support the various views on the matter. The most recent one was a couple of year ago, sorry can't remember which one it was, where they created a live mock-up of the scene, had target dummies to scale/composition, and proceeded to execute shots from all the different "theories" locations and how each would play out, comparing to the footage of the assassination. That documentary's commentary was the shot from Oswald's position would not have ended in the way JFK's head moved on impact. Believe they concluded that the "grassy knoll" angle would have been more conducive to that movement. Not agreeing or disagreeing, just passing this along as it was a very well done study from what I could tell. The overwhelming evidence indicates a single shooter who was self-motivated - overwhelming. For those who can't see this, it is a shame. The Houthis released a video of one of their operational F-5 fighters (late sixties tech) taking off to the sound track of Top Gun. I suppose it was to intimidate the F/A-18 and F-35 jocks on the Truman.Someone reworked the sound track and it is hilarious.
54% of U.S. citizens presently read at the 6th grade level too, yet in the 6th grade I began investing in gold Krugerrand’s with my lawn mowing money and ranch/farm work that yielded a nice profit many years later.Average citizen in US is only capable of reading at the 8th grade level.
Do you think they'll invest the money if they opt out of SS and Medicare?

Doesn't the president have prerogative to eliminate a district court and move that caseload to another?![]()

The lefts sacred cow to be sacrificed today
I’m 100% certain an Obama or Biden appointed judge will find a way to halt this one..
But the gauntlet is now thrown…
I agree with you that a judge will probably put a TRO on shuttering the Agency. One issue, DOEd was not passed by Congress but was a Carter Executive Order. As I recall there weren't enough votes in Congress. We know how Presidents write EO's to overrule previous Presidents EO's. Depending on the Circuit the case is filed, I don't see the TRO surviving the Circuit or Scotus but I certainly could be wrong.
