The . 460 Weatherby is one of the very few rifle cartridges approved by the International Whaling Commission for the harvesting of whales. The cartridge was deemed to have the penetration necessary to penetrate to the brain stem to provide a quick kill on whales.
Well, I'm going to start calling this my Whale rifle then over elephant gun. Although, my buddies may think it means something totally different...

I had a 340 for awhile liked the caliber but couldn’t get the rifle to fit me and recoil was brutal. You can have the .460 I’ll stick with a .458 win mag

Funny I suppose - but sadly accurate. The Trump doctrine of "Peace at any Cost" at work,

Historically speaking the the ottomans/turks have had interest in the region and a dislike for Russia.

And they, Turkey, are truly the gate keeper to the Black Sea.

I havent seen this mentioned here before so even though its not on scale to Ukraine, I thought Id give it honorable mention , since the ,MSM doesnt do it justice,
1000 to 1200 ALAWI , mostly Christians have been slaughtered in Syria. Say a prayer for those in hiding. Of all faiths.

Numerous states control the retail sale of spirits and in some cases wine. Those states are regularly deciding what is available to consumers in their state.
In Texas there is county and city option; where I graduated High school you’d couldn’t even buy beer or wine at a grocery store until the late 2,000’s by city ordinance. Now there are Liqour stores.

In Oklahoma there was no county option it was state wide and until the recent liquor law changes; anything above 3.2% had to be sold at a Liqour store and at room temperature.

Further you couldn’t sell any mixers or non alcoholic beverages in a Liqour store; so nature always finds a way - you had double door stores, 2 doors one cashier one side Liqour the other side convenience store. Some times the Liqour store was just another external door/closet that the gas station attendant had to open up from the outside.

But again things are opening up and OKC alone has an impressive craft brew scene.

What I mean is in a number of states the state is actually the retailer.

County option in Texas applies to days an hours of sale by private businesses.

That being said, Turkey has an economic problem. Without Russian tourists and exports to Russia it is even more dire. Erdogan will have to straddle the fence very carefully.

Yes, they are. I have never understood why the USSR/Russia was so keen on a Black Sea Port. Particularly with Turkey in NATO. Does anyone really believe that Russia would get free passage through Istanbul in a war with NATO?

Up until Trump's election no one would. :E Angel:

Assad is an Alawite. From what I read it was 700-800 civilians and the rest were militants from either side. I thought I saw that the Alawites carried out an attack or something and the ones in power responded barbarically. Who knows. Shocker since their leader is former Al Qaeda and ISIS/ISIL

@cwpayton Thank you for posting that. The number of killings is unknown, but some estimates are as high as 7000 in the last few weeks. Children dragged out of houses in the daytime, raped, tortured and then shot.....many with M16's. You can see some of the films on SyrianaAnalysis, but I would advise against watching them. The US attacks on Syria, and the leveling of their Country, was a backdoor attack on Russia...and to do that, we paid Al-Qaeda, lied, and staged false flag events. The Gobalist/Interventionalist's killing knows no bounds. On a brighter note, the US sanctions Biden placed on journalists trying to cover the Ukraine war may be lifted this week. Open minded people will be surprised at what they learn. Americans will hate whoever they are told to hate by legacy media. But transparency is on it's way, and free speech is coming back to life..........FWB

Agreed - like Utah, went to a wedding and stooped at a state owned Liqour store; they had a brand of Vodka called “5 Wives Vodka”.

Over a decade earlier I visited Washington state and they had just transferred to private sale from state owned and they had $7ltr excise tax plus 22% sales tax and paid $46 for a 750ml bottle of crown at a Safeway grocery store in Seattle.

Being born and raised in Texas this was a pleasant surprise being able to buy liquor in a grocery store but had seen it before…. First time I ever saw a civilian openly carrying a gun on their hip in public was Seattle that same trip.

Alawites by definition are a sect of Islam, not Christians. If they were then they'd just be Christian Arabs.
according to wickipedia that is true , but the 3 podcast I viewed lumped them togather, at any rate it is a really convoluted mess with thousands of murdered civilians, not militia as syria says. REDACTED had the best interview by a Syrian refuge.

The provinces owns the liquor and distribution outlets so they decide what is shelved. The sale of alcohol is provincially controlled in Canada. Parts of the territories are still dry at least at community levels.
Yes, I am aware. I don't think any state should be involved in the sale of alcohol. I'd go as far as saying ATF should be a convenience store, and not a government agency, but that's not the point.

For example, in the States that control sales, a shelf full of Bud Light while all the other shelves were empty carried a much stronger message than not carrying the product at all. The State not choosing to provide sends a much different (and stronger) message than customers choosing not to purchase.

Someone was asking about deporting green card holders. This article may be behind a paywall, but I believe NR allows two or three articles a month, so you should be able to get to it.

By the by, Andrew McCarthy is not only a lawyer, he is a former prosecutor from the Southern District of New York. His analysis should be fairly accurate.

Brent, some of what you write is simply not right.
Here's a picture from the London Underground. It's actually from there. No joke.
I'm not sure the US economy is so happy when the other free world starts boycotting American goods because others are spitting at their feet. No need for tariffs at all.
See picture.
This year round - 50%
Tesla in free fall.
Why do you think?

Here's a fun fact from Meta ai....."yes, Canada imposes tariffs on US products......dairy products are one example. Tariffs range from 201.5% to 313.5%. These tariffs are part of Canada's supply-management system"........bet you didn't hear that in the main stream propaganda effluvia........FWB

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
