Completely agree…

The point is, everyone has some amount of shit on their shoes in this affair…

Europe (NATO members) has not met its own defense obligations for decades.. and has gladly allowed itself to become reliant on US defense investments for its safety.. which is not what the NATO contract call for… many non NATO European countries have also not kept up the pace on defense, despite knowing threats like Russia exist..

This problem was addressed at length 8 years ago, and while some NATO countries stepped up, many did not… so the problem remains…

I also agree that the US could have done substantially more early in the fight.. but we had a weak leader.. whose family had to be very careful navigating the Ukraine relationship because of very well established corruption issues…

Everyone is hating on Trump (much of it rightfully), but did Biden do us any favors? Or does anyone really believe Harris has the skills to navigate this process any better?

Then there’s Zelenskyy.. whether Trump or Vance ambushed him or not, he clearly did not handle the situation in a manner that helps Ukraine..

The time for crying is over.. everyone involved has played a part that has created a negative consequence.. there should be far less finger pointing and far more problem solving going on… or everyone involved stands to lose something greater than has already been lost…
This may be the single best post I've seen on this topic in months.

Everyone wants to bash one person or another for what they didn't do. But the reality is almost all involved have made poor decisions- the key is to stop bitching about opinions on what should have been done, and instead focus on what now  needs to be done.

This is not really about Ukraine

She plays a bit part in a single act of a bigger play

Of far greater significance is the direction Trump is taking the world

Why?

What is the motivation?

Who will it benefit (and harm) in the short and medium term?

What will the US’s enemies do to exploit the obvious fissions in western alliances

What will those former alliances do

How will they react, and how will they plan

The smiles and obsequious bobbing is for display only

They will never again allow the US such influence over world affairs

It might seem absurd to you guys at the height of your power, but you have reached the zenith

Your weakness will be revealed in the deals you do with Putin

I think he, President Trump, is supporting American interests and wants to return us to a more Constitutional form of government like our founding fathers intended.

... Ah yes, governance almost exclusively via Executive Order with power concentrated in the office of the President, and ignoring the judiciary.

Just like the founding fathers intended.

The cult of personality surrounding Trump, especially when it comes to doubling down on defending his increasingly and denonstrably duplicitous and non-sensical behaviour is alarming.

See also: MAGA lining up to decry the "disrespect of the Oval Office" of the Ukrainian President, whilst excusing the presence, behaviour, and public comments of both Musk and Trump routinely. Complete lack of objective reasoning.

Your gay transgender lover, obama, issued a bunch of illegal executive orders.

President Trump has been staying within the constraints of the Constitution.

Zelenskyy to "negotiate" President Trump's purposed deal. At least Zelenskyy is coming back to negotiations. I think he will sign a deal for what Trump is offering.
Everyone keep your fingers crossed!

I hope you are right, and I hope we end up with a deal that doesn’t give Putin a victory. I firmly believe that if Putin has a perceived victory, the world will find itself in a larger war inside of ten years.

What happens if the anti abortion or 2A crowd wants to protest? People are quick to demand swift/harsh treatment to protesters when they don’t fit their narrative. But there will be a time when whatever cause you support needs to be heard, and you don’t want to give up that right just to spite your enemy.

We seriously need a “laughing” button.

proven to be fake so many times that even the most liberal of news sources have gone on the record saying its fake..

Europe has already exposed it's weaknesses, in which there are many.

What was that documentary about Facebook where they talked about the “like” button? Anyway it is a brilliant bit of psychology. We all love praise. I find myself checking “likes”. Haha.

Hmmmm.......if history serves me, the British Empire used to rule with tyranny and oppression. Hated by everyone.
It was a great day when we kicked the ass of the Redcoats and sent them back to England with their tales between their legs.

What's that got to do with anything going on here? Unless you are likening Trump to Washington. :ROFLMAO:

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
