So perhaps we bring back Biden to negotiate for Trump. Since it worked so well for the last four years. And just start slugging it out again and flying pallet loads of arms and money.

Zelinskyy now knows that the negotiator is willing to walk away from the deal. that’s half of a negotiation as everybody here well knows.
I think you learned that when you sold your first bike if you aren’t willing to walk away from a deal, you’re gonna get a bad deal pretty much every time.

Again, let’s not lose sight of whose weakness allowed this war to start. Obama.

He should be called back into town and made to fix it himself.
You’re asking an unamerican Kenyan to fix his own mess. That’s never going to happen.
He will never admit wrongdoing.

Well Russ my question to you is "How many billions should we send them?" 500 billion a trillion just tell me how much is enough. I guess you will say what ever it takes. Tell me again, how many trillion are we in debt?

We can not even account for the money and equipment that we have sent over.

So your position is that they haven’t been provided any assistance for the last year? Because that’s simply not true.
You are technically correct. They went from September 2023 until April 2024 without US support thanks to the republican house. On Apr 20th 2024 a 60 billion supplemental was finally passed and around 35-40 billion of that has been distributed. Europe provided 40-45 billion during the same period. That six months with no US support was a meaningful test period for Ukraine and has led to the EU increasing its role in support of the country.

It is worth whatever is necessary to stop Russian strategic goals to again dominate Eastern Europe. That represents a critical national interest. If you don't believe it does, I would urge you to study what the Cold War cost this country. We have the opportunity to solve that threat now by simply assisting Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has let the media making him a darling go to his head.
It’s becoming very clear he actually wants to continue fighting.

Trump should tell Macron. Zelenskyy is all yours.
When you come up with a deal. Let us know how we can help. And let us know what our cut of the minerals is.

I’m at the point that I need to see something good for America in any foreign dealings.

Let Europe deal with Europe. I’m pretty big on isolationism. America has been the rich uncle bailing out every nephew that gets in trouble and it has to stop. We’re broke. Why are we giving money to other countries when we should be reducing our debt? In fact we borrow money to give to other nations that then actively work against American interests.

Since WWII we haven’t fought any war or battle with the goal of “unconditional surrender.” Until we do I will not support any foreign military engagement. I’m reticent to engage our military in anything because we, as a nation, are wimps afraid of fighting our enemies the way they need to be fought.

I’m not condemning the fighting men and women but rather our vacillating elected “leaders.” They, our military, do a spectacular job for an ungrateful nation against unrealistic and unreasonable ROE’s.

I always had a rule when I got in a fight. I will do whatever I have to do to be victorious. I’m winning. I don’t care what happens to my opponent.

Trump is overstating the alleged 350 billion dollars in American aid to Ukraine; the Kiel Institute for the World Economy has calculated that Europe raised 138 billion, while 119 billion dollars came from the USA.

Europe did not and does not give a loan to Ukraine for armaments.
And you simply can't believe the dealmaker.

Trump:
without the billions (allegedly 350 by Biden) the war would have been over in two weeks.

Selensky :
I've heard that from putin before, but in three days.

I can tell you what is a very common thought among many Americans, FUCK Ukraine. How many billions have we sent to that dip shit country? We don't even have an idea of where all the equipment or money has gone. Exactly how much has all the European countries actually given? It would seem if you looked on a map Ukraine and the Russian forces are way closer to them than us.

This is unacceptable.

I'm no fan of draining resources for foreign countries unless it's clearly in our national interest.
"National interest" is like the world "reasonable" for attorneys. It can mean different things for different people and they all seem to have a knack for convenient definition change.

My opinion (worth everything you paid for it) is that it's not in our national interest to help Ukraine.
If they were Lithuania, Sweden, or some other country that's above board most of the time, I may feel differently. But they're not. They've been heinously corrupt for a long time.
Also, it's arguable that they have been involved in loading the gun to shoot themselves in the foot since the mid-90's. But let's leave that alone for the sake of this post.

Regardless... there are still people dying. Real people. Have a little respect.
I don't like Ukraine's leader or the corrupt leadership they've had for some time, I believe there are a lot of solid, upstanding people there that are genuinely of the mindset that they are fighting for their independence or to protect their homeland.
Just like Americans, most of them probably aren't fully aware of the big picture and most, like Americans, are swayed by media propaganda. More's the pity.

I feel heavily for the Ukraine people. And for the Russian soldiers. They also probably believe they're doing the right thing.

Plus more in fourth quarter.
The point I’m trying to make is that Zelensky wasn’t in the White House out of love, if I had to guess he can barely stand the sight of Trump. He needs money and supplies if he’s to keep fighting, or he needs a peace deal. He certainly deserves credit for not grabbing at the first temporary thing that pops up, holding out for lasting stability for his country.
The EU is incapable of brokering a cease fire, that played out in the headlines two weeks ago. The heads of the French and British governments respectively came to DC to assess the Trump Government plan and were apparently amicable to what they heard.
Russia is incapable of conquering Ukraine with the support that Ukraine has received.
Ukraine is not capable of defending itself without international aid.

The US-led coalition demanded unconditional surrender of the Iraqi regime in the second Gulf War.

Correct we will be far more in debt in the future if we have to deal with Russian domination of Eastern Europe.

This is being way overblown. The minerals deal will be signed and then the rest of the serious negotiations begin with Putin. Personally I feel a lot safer in the world where leaders are open and transparent, warts and all. They said what they truly felt and meant, so you work from there.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
