I am not an engineer, but I clearly understood what he said. I have no earthly idea what he meant. I am hoping he is very successful, but like his instant opinion on the mid-air collision, there are times when he just needs to shut up.

Although I have a completely different perspective than you on many issues, I have never questioned your intelligence, but TDS does have strange effects on otherwise smart folks... If you actually read or listened to the entire news conference in its entirety and your takeaway was that Trump suggested we look into injecting bleach into people, I honestly don't know what to say... That's absolutely not what I heard, nor was it his meaning...

As far as Trump and his news conferences, he honestly can't win... If he doesn't answer questions, he is accused of lack of transparency... If he does answer questions, he is criticized for making preemptive assumptions... Regardless, I think we are way better off having a POTUS that is completely accessible, and shows up when it counts compared to a demented shut-in or a cackling, incompetent jackass...

More accomplished in 7 days than in the previous 4 years... I will leave it at that...

If I may interject an opinion about covid and its results on the world bit especially the USA.

If we’re ever going to learn as a whole from this we are going to have to be honest with the actions of idiots and educated on both sides.

I’ve heard of a “covid amnesty” however these people are wanting forgiveness without the admission of guilt.

The world needs to understand that Covid did not walk out of a highly secure lab, with many safety measures in place, on it's own. It probably walked out in someones pocket, or body.
The focus should be on how it got loose.

Did anyone in this discussion praise Biden or his administration? No, I thought not.

I tend to think like many things there are two sides to most issues. TDS is an absolute correct diagnosis of the behavior of many with regard to Trump. But there also is TWS - a Trump Worship Syndrome - that denies the leader can have any faults.

With respect to what you heard, it really doesn't matter. It only matters what others heard. I remember the UV light comment as well. We joked at the time whether one would be placed in a chamber or have a flexible light tube shoved up one's nose. We should also remember that it was Trump who also gave Fauci his daily pulpit to address and spin the nation.

Trump is both uniquely inarticulate and undisciplined with respect to what he says. I think most honest observers would also add to that his writing and texting. That in no way means that he can't accomplish great things as a president. But does mean he provides a fountain of material to his critics which can only undermine his efforts - obviously not those with TWS - but it can affect that other 25% who voted for him and have stayed with him the last two weeks.

Just like those who hate him, those who adore him unconditionally are unable to even tolerate a discussion on the subject not in perfect alignment with their personal views.

Yes, I am an engineer that also has worked with light including communications connectors using light spectrum to transmit data.

Nowhere in my 50+ years I have come across a solution where one injected light. He went from one thought of injecting disinfectants into the lungs, to light. To paraphrase Trump himself in the Biden debate, No idea what he really meant, and I doubt he knew it himself either.
