I think youre absolutely correct about the Dems and the media... I think that whats different today is that quite literally nobody cares anymore..

in 2016 and in 2020 people were still worried about being called (or associated with or as) bigots, racists, nazis, blah, blah, blah, blah...

today that line of attack has run its course.. its become a laughable methodology and is as effective on today's political battlefield as a sherman tank would be on the actual battlefield today..


and.. they're still clinging to woke.... when quite literally the rest of the liberal world is RAPIDLY rejecting it.. look just 1 country north to Canada and watch whats going on... NUMEROUS articles proclaiming Trudeaus failure was due to "woke policy".. and one Canadas leading political figures going before parliament to very specifically declare that its time for "woke" to exit politics in Canada (he was clear that its only purpose is to allow government to divide people so that it can control them more easily)..

the longer and the harder the Dems continue to make the "woke" argument (even if they re-label it, repackage it, or re-create a different version of it) will just make things worse for them..

I sincerely hope they continue down the path they are on.. while its annoying, its also a guarantee they wont return to power anytime in the near future..

The best thing that could possibly happen to the USA would be for AOC to declare she is running for President the next cycle and that Talib is going to be her VP candidate..

We'd have to listen to the equivalent of nails on the chalkboard every night for a 2 year cycle and endure a billion Rachel Maddow memes... but it would be worth it.. and JD Vance would assuredly be our next President..

JD Vance is a highly educated and extremely well polished hillbilly brought to the public via the US Marine Corps. In Iraq as a Corporal, Vance served in a Captain’s billet in public affairs. I have no doubt that duty honed JD into the sharp verbal weapon he is.

Add to the above JD Vance went to Ohio State on the GI Bill. Later he earned a Law Degree from Yale before becoming a venture capitalist. He served as a US Senator for Ohio prior to becoming Vice President.

Add to JD's American dream story a strong layer of anti-woke armor. That armor is his Indian American wife, Usha. Mrs. Vance is a pretty woman but she is also a “person of color”. Plus, she may also be smarter than JD and The Donald combined.

My daughter got a full ride from UC Berkeley though she chose to go to Yale. Then, went to Harvard Law school. Son went to Rice University.

Both applied as White. My SIL who also went to Yale and Harvard Law also applied as White.

I think the racial preferences were made for marginal students., maybe bottom X percent of those got accepted.

Also, Asian students got discriminated the most, not the White students.

I would buy all the US AI stock that collapsed yesterday knowing that this there is now free lunch in this space. It takes huge amounts of electricity, chips and time.

These students may not get into a corporation with a student visa, but I think you would be surprised how many companies are willing to look the other way on such matters; just like the universities are more than happy to offer tuition to foreign graduate students to teach classes instead of paying an actual professor.

I wouldn't be surprised, I would be stunned if any corporation "looked the other way" if involved in any research remotely associated with national security. Spying on a National Guard training facility is not a good thing, but hardly a meaningful threat. I am simply saying that anyone here on a student visa is a known risk. The institutions welcoming them are also the ones tasked with monitoring their behavior and performance. I am not particularly surprised that an academic institution could be the victim of a patent scam by an Indian conman.

I will absolutely agree that Intellectual property theft is a very serious problem. Other than pure espionage which is largely hacker driven threat, most of that occurs when unwitting American entrepreneurs attempt to partner with a Chinese company.
