Politics

As Johnathon Turley said. This will leave a much longer stain on the NY justice system than Trump. Trump will win on appeal. But the NY justice system will forever be stained by politics.
Agreed. However, people have short memories. This too shall pass.

Insurance companies can’t afford to underwrite bad risks. The fact that they pulled this insurance is a reflection of their view of the risk involved. It looks like they were right.

A shout out to my congressman, fellow LSU alum, and all around good guy.

This sort of reminds me of when Gerald Ford became POTUS. His old football coach from University of Michigan, when asked what he thought about Ford, replied, "He's our first offensive lineman to become president of the United States."

The same thing happened in Homestead, Florida after Hurricane Andrews; All State, State Farm, etc, etc, all dumped those affected by Hurricane Andrews, and stopped insuring anyone living in Homestead. So, what can these Kalifornia homeowners do? Citizen was the only insurance company in FL that was writing wind and flood insurance policies. Not sure how it is now, I've been out of FL for over 11 years. All these insurance companies love our money as long as we don't have any claims.

Easy to take a shot at the insurance companies, but the reality is they have had a pretty rough ride over the last decade or
So. They are for profit companies, and as such, cannot be forced to underwrite bad bets. Personally, I don’t want any exposure to insurance in my portfolio. If the insurance companies pull away from a category or a region, it’s time to re-evaluate the inherent risks in whatever they are pulling away from.

California is right next to the largest source of water on the planet.
Maybe they should figure out a way to pump seawater for firefighting.
Just a thought!

If it weren't for that pesky corrosion that salt water is renowned for, it would be feasible, except then you'd have to deal with all the greenies claiming it will destroy the ocean if you pump water out of it. Not sure which battle would be harder to win.

That's a common sense approach. They are smart enough to figure it out. It might take a buck or two away from some illegals.

I don't think it was temperature related. The Air Force, Navy and Army members didn't want to listen to all the BS things being said about how great a president Carter was. The Marines didn't need ear protection because they couldn't comprehend what was being said. :A Stirring: :A Outta:
HUH?.....I don't get it...Semper Fi

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
