DOJ hasn’t claimed anything or filed any charges. This is a congressional ethics inquiry- led by a Republican majority most of whom will never forgive him for the ouster of McCarthy.

The DoJ leaked that they were investigating Gaetz for pedophilia, among other things. Of course nothing came of it because it was bull shit.

No different than "when did you stop beating your wife?". The non-accusation accusation for the purpose of character assassination. I suspect the same thing of the leaked investigation into him allegedly paying off women.

I think Lara Trump was angling for it. Also, as toxic and alienating Gaetz is I doubt he cultivated a relationship with DeSantis though Gaetz is a nepo baby and his dad might have an in with DeSantis.

You and I will agree to disagree with respect to McCarthy - and apparently also with respect to Gaetz whose absence from the Hill and apparently the administration is a huge blessing to the country and Trump. I greatly respect Shawn Ryan for his work with veterans - his opinions on other topics are of less interest to me.

Then perhaps pay attention to Eli Crane and Tim Burchett. Crane is a member of Freedom Caucus, but Burchett is not, though it's pretty apparent he's sympathetic to them.

The big take-away from that video is what it takes to get a committee chairmanship or even committee membership. Call Ryan a curious and ignorant bystander in this one.

Thank goodness he is not. The only way anything gets done in the House if through consensus among the majority party. The democrats are excellent at it, we would much rather shoot each other. Bomb throwers only cause collateral damage to their own party. Johnson is indeed Ryan with a southern accent.

Not on mine either. She was apparently married twice and engaged to a third. She is also well preserved for 59. Unless there is a vacated murder in her closet, she should be a pretty easy confirmation. Pretty sure no one at least will be able to dig up a sexual assault charge.

Was listening to the token liberal on Fox complain about her closeness to Trump. Should that be a line of attack during the hearing, I assume someone on the republican side will be smart enough to bring up JFK's choice of attorney general.
