I live by a Army military base and most think there will be increased spending there. I think Trump will increase military spending but the majority will go to technology. The army may get the least.

That would be a very good choice. He has the law background as well as Congressional experience.
If Trey Gowdy had better hair, he could be a future presidential candidate

Biden invited Trump to the Whitehouse on Wednesday. If it was me, I would decline.
Why would Trump want to meet with a President that tried to destroy his life and put him in prison thru the weaponization of the DOJ, rogue prosecutors, DA,s, and Judge's?

Sometimes you need to take the low road to send a clear message.

My response to Joe Biden, and the rest of the flying Monkey's would not be pleasant.

If Trump is just thinking about himself, he won’t go. But I believe it would be beneficial for our nation and the world if Biden and Trump can have a photo-op moment and make nice. A peaceful and orderly transition of power is one of the things that differentiates us from the axis of evil.

Ironic, how the Dem's want a peaceful transition after calling over 75 million people, Nazis, traitors, racists, and garbage.
As far as I'm concerned, they can stuff that olive branch where the sun doesn't shine.

Another questionable ballot dump in Maricopa county.
County recorder, Stephen Richer, is anti Maga and hates Kari Lake.
Richer is also friends and neighbors with Ruben Gallego.

Most of those particular states, a glass of water with the letter “D” on it would have won. The ID insinuation is a reach.
Is it?

I happen to be from a swing state and if it’s a reach to say that presenting a legit ID to prove you are a legit voter doesn’t have advantage or disadvantage for political parties, why would either side fight so hard for or against it?

it’s actually critical to the whole idea of voting that voting is exercised by legal voters.

I could be wrong.

It looks to me that Trump's win came mostly from people who had had enough of the liberal nonsense. They just want normal. Look at the California swing and the popular vote.
The Democrats seem to have done some immediate soul searching, their tone is far more conciliatory, and the Republicans should take note lest the pendulum swings back again.
As others have said, there is a chance here for a generational Republican/conservative movement, but it needs to be carefully planned for and executed because it all depends upon holding that middle ground with sensibilities. The liberals are emotion driven, it is all over the top, do or die extreme. The Democrats have made a fatal mistake adopting and pandering to that. They largely know it, so now more than ever Republicans/conservatives need to be calm and confident and strong. Plant the olive branches and enjoy the olives, the votes in 2028 will reward you.

I can see both sides of it. GOP wants to make sure that only citizens vote. Democrats wants to make sure that their voters do not have impediments to voting.

The reason I do not have a "Real ID" is that it is a pain in the ass to get one. I have to provide a proof of citizenship and two proofs of residency like light bill or a gas bill. One of my companies owns my house and utilities are not in my name. Getting a copy of a birth certificate involves a lot of work as well. Not to mention, because there is a cost involved, it is like a poll tax. Heck, if I had not gotten a passport as a kid and not kept on renewing it, I'd have to through all of that if I had to prove citizenship.

And do you really think tens of thousands of non-citizens are voting?

I don't know what California is like for getting a birth certificate. But I do know that one of my sons was born in Idaho and one here in Arizona. I've had for a few different reasons had to request new copies of both of their birth certificates and it was quite easy and fairly cheap. The state governments could make it free if they so chose.

As for if tens of thousands of non-citizens are voting, I haven't a clue nor do I think you know they aren't. Either way, I really don't see it as being relevant. If the situation is such that it's easy to be a non-citizen to vote, then it's going to happen. I don't wish to make it hard for citizens to vote. But it seems now it is more difficult to open a bank account than it is to register to vote.
