Politics

So thoroughly sick of purity tests - particularly MAGA ones. To quote Reagan - "The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally - not a 20 percent traitor." But republicans, particularly the core Trump movement, would much rather make war on another republican than solidify against our actual political opponents.

Without "Moscow Mitch" - I don't even know what that is supposed to mean - the supreme court would look far different today whatever Trump's intent may have been.
Moscow Mitch was a nickname given to him after he blocked 2 measures that would help prevent foreign election interference in U.S elections.

As far as I'm concerned, as well as the most of the MAGA movement, the old guard GOP needs to be purged, and a newer, and bolder, era of republicans needs to be ushered in.
It's time for Republicans to change the playbook, adapt to, as well as counteract the growing radicalism in the Democrat party.
This election was a mandate that only solidifies that fact

Guess you had best chat with all those fellow republicans who elect those terrible people to office. If I may offer an observation, they aren't going anywhere simply because the MAGA world loyalists are throwing a hissy fit. It is perhaps worth remembering everyone of those RINOs has far more in common with the goals of Trump than any democrat and they have their own political bases of support.

By the by, I see where Senator Josh Hawley, a darling of even the more unstable members of the MAGA movement, is supporting Senator John Cornyn for majority leader (a wise choice by the way). I assume that must have the Boebert's and Gaetz's outraged - not that anyone in the senate is listening.

There are plenty of wishy-washy flip floppers in politics

Finally beating the Democrats at their own game!

Republicans are generally not known for creativity. This year instead of door knocking and mail fliers, they spent the money on the internet connecting with people electronically. Seems to have made a difference.

Great point. Imagine how many door knocking volunteers and how long it would take to reach the willing listeners of just the Rogan interview.

Positive changes within the RNC helping with the outreach to critical campaign demographics.
Trump's 3 hours on Joe Rogan was huge for Trump's campaign, as well as Rogan's endorsement

Hopefully they won’t forget how it should be done when it comes to the midterms in ‘26.

IMO - The one factor that will determine the outcome of the 2026 mid-terms, will be keeping control of the house....still TBD.
We all understand that Trump can be blinded by his own arrogance at times, and he made many mistakes in his first 2 years as president, effectively not taking advantage of having control of all 3 branches. Internal squabbling and stubbornness in the GOP congress, and being ineffective cost them the house.
Trump spent the last 2 years of his term fending off the nasty assault by the unhinged Dems.
Trump is smart enough not to make those mistakes this time around. He will choose his inner circle more wisely, and he will hit the ground running on Jan 21.

Right now everything hinges on keeping the house out of the hands of the Democrats. I am very nervous about it

Yes sir…. They capitalized on podcasts that many in the 55+ age demographic simply have no clue even existed.

They used these podcasts to turn every cell phone in America into their own advertising source that counter acted “legacy media” in ways that Democrats are largely unable to comprehend.

I fully believe that Pelosi, Schumer and all the other octogenarian walking corpses simply think…. “This podcast mess is just these young whipper snappers mouthing off!”

By far the best thing Trump & Vance both did was go on Joe Rogan; they not only showed they have the strength and character to complete a 3 hour interview.

They also opened up the eyes of millions of young and historically Democrat voters while also getting millions of people in the 55+ crowd to open up to podcasts as information sources.

Further, I think many world leaders are breathing easier knowing Trump is coming back… especially the leaders of vulnerable developing nations.

I don't want any of the 3 stooges as Senate leader. I'll take Scott.

I live in Maricopa county, on the east side of Phoenix that is very red. Indeed the west side is more blue. And that is correct concerning when early ballots can be submitted. My wife and I dropped ours off Tuesday morning.

However I did not know they were to be verified at the polling location and at another "central" location. That could be, but I don't see the purpose. I doubt they double verified the early ballots that were either mailed in or dropped in the various boxes they had set up.

It was a 2 page ballot, front and back of both pages. And rather long and wide pages at that. I'm glad we had the mail-in ballot myself. I was able to sit with my computer to research the less publicized propositions and make a more informed decision.

FWIW, Arizona also has a voter website where you can confirm your "early" ballot was received and counted. My wife and mine both show as such.

But..... there's no such thing as election cheating, or so i hear.

So republicans are supposed to rush there and do what exactly? Nobody is allowed to touch the ballots, only the election workers can. Can’t believe you always fall for all the hyperbole BS on the internet!

And exactly why are Democrats rushing people there to help?........Hmmmmm

Agree completely.

One thing I find interesting is hearing the msm media on their election autopsy saying they need their own Joe Rogan's, which I find hilarious. Rogan is a Democrat and has been all his life. The Democrats went so far left Rogan indorsed Trump over free speech issues primarily, along with the Covid lockdowns and near mandatory injections.
