All the Puerto Ricans that came to this country to escape that shit hole probably agree with Trump
I guess you don't know much about national pride and heritage.

The fact that they live here now doesn't mean they will welcome insults about where they came from. Trump campaign is already backpedaling like crazy trying to distance Trump from those comments. It is just another unforced error by the campaign.

Why make it make so easy for the other side?

Pride in a country you wanted to escape from.? Got it!

Kind of like the Mexicans that come to live here, but still wave their Mexican flags.

Definitely shouldn’t have been said . But with what

the Democrats saying that anyone that might vote for Trump is a, racist, nazi, homophobe, white nationalist, the end of democracy, weaponize the justice system and many things that I can’t remember. What that guy said was a poor attempt at humor but the dems are serious about what they think of Trump supporters and of him.

I’m just ready for this circus to be over with so we can just get on with our lives.

Or the Italians, or the Irish, or the Chinese etc., etc.. People do take pride in their heritage and where they came from. Also, not everyone suffers from xenophobia, so they actually appreciate and celebrate other cultures.

Hinchcliffe is professional roaster, that's his whole shtick, that's what the Kill Tony shows are all about. Like any good professional roaster he cuts deep but he also uses self deprecating humor. He will tell jokes that people would think are horribly offensive to gay people while being gay himself. The Kill Tony show is brutal yet hilarious.

People have become so damned sensitive that comedy has become awful except a for a few comedians that dare to keep pushing the envelope. You can find something funny in anything if you have an open mind.

My entire life it has always been the left that has tried to control speech that they didn't approve of, Tipper and Hillary with the PRMC etc. The same people that cry fascism over mothers that seek to have sexualy explicit material removed from children's libraries are the ones who banned Harper Lee and Mark Twain.

The First is absolute! It covers us all, no matter whether we agree or disagree, no matter who it may offend.

I agree in regard to First Amendment, that being said that particular comment regarding Puerto Rico perhaps was not the wisest choice for the Trump campaign. The rally was there to get supporters, not for pushing the boundaries of the First Amendment.

Quite a few GOP representatives have released statements disavowing the comments (among the links I posted above). Every vote counts, up and down the ballot.

Also, the First is absolute, however if one is an employee and offend a client or a co-worker and plead the first, one could get fired or reprimanded. It does not apply in a private place, heck a lot of entities have a social media policy where if one does not adhere to it, they face various consequences.

In regard to my employees, I have it stated in the employee handbook that one cannot discuss politics, religion etc. with other employees or clients. I had to counsel a couple of Jehovah Witness employees to stop evangelizing during lunch breaks as it was making people uncomfortable.

As an American of Irish descent, should I be offended by something like the Fighting Irish? Of course not, that would be stupid and childish.

I'd also be willing to bet that more people who aren't of Irish descent celebrate St Patrick's Day. If I'm not wearing a green shirt please don't pinch me, I wear green everyday, my eyes are green. Besides true Irish don't need a holiday to drink... we have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and so on!

Tanks, I get what you're saying. We live in a dumbed down soundbite culture. The media never shows things in context and sadly many people now don't have the brain power to realize context. Even Joe and Kamala are still running the sucker's and losers, good people on both sides and shoot some bleach in your arm trobes.

I somewhat agree. I just wish we could get back to those words most of us were taught... sticks and stones!
Yep, I’m a slightly overweight, balding old white guy and red neck who lives in the south so basically the new punch line for a lot of jokes. Doesn’t bother me a bit. Actually I get a pretty good kick out of it.

Don’t forget Trumps blueprint for the next 20 years as dictator, Project 2025!!

The point I was making was that people do not forget about their heritage just because they came here.
My family on both sides came from Ireland in the 1840’s. Most Irish jokes are insulting, however when I look at my relatives I can attest that they are also true and yes I do think that God invented whiskey to keep the Irish from ruling the world.
