I've read he likes Omaha steaks and cherry coke, and he gives millions away to worthy charities. He's living life exactly how he wants to and people should be okay with that. When he travels, it by private jet. Life is good.
I really don’t care how other people spend their money except a certain foreign born yahoo that spend s tons of money getting extremely left winged prosecutors, district attorneys and judges elected.

Another would be how the government spends the money we send them.

IDK, Russia and China play by a different set of rules. Supposing Rhodesia had been a Russian/Chinese colony, do you imagine they'd have done to an Ian Smith what Britain and the US did? I imagine they'd make Leopold II look like a choir boy by way of comparison.

Yup they aren't handcuffed the way western companies are....and aren't bothered by the "niceties" the west requires in business....they also bring their people in to control whatever they are doing ....no messing around just do it.....so they will reap/rape the benefits..oil ...minerals etc etc....the west is trying to get involved now....but as they have to operate under stringent laws in place in usa and other western countries....not exactly a level playing field

I don't know how many of you if any watched the Al Smith Charity Dinner for which Harris prepared a video recording rather than attend (that whole abortion thing can play hob with one's strategic thinking). Trump did OK, but Jim Gaffagan, the comedian who plays Tim Walz on the SNL absolutely killed it. A few of his clips.

This is perhaps the best one, because he goes to the heart of her perplexing campaign.

He also lightly tagged Trump a few times as well, but he saved his best for Harris. What was equally amusing was watching Schumer's reactions to Gaffigan and Trump, and Robert Kraft and Michael Bloomberg's aged stoney faced outrage.

Bonus clip - Gaffigan playing Walz on SNL.

Agreed, until he tries to give my money away, then we have a problem. Buffet has not exactly been our friend politically, particularly on taxation issues.

Listening to the news this morning and it sounds like Netanyahu isn’t interested in negotiations at the moment. Some families of hostages are saying it’s time to use the death of Hamas’ leaders to force them to the table.

I have seen Buffet's house. It's not a mansion, but it's not a crap-shack either.
Well the longer you live in a house, it's almost easier to have a house fire than move...lol

Just about every Democrat suggested it as it would help Harris at the polls. I have a feeling Netanyahu will slow walk it just for that reason alone if nothing else.

Honestly, other than more hunting and more general traveling, my life wouldn't change by much. I'd build a house with a nice trophy room, on a "few" acres somewhere in the inland PNW. I'd have a lot more invested in real estate. I'd buy even better Bourbon and gin, though I don't really go for the cheap stuff now. My tastes are refined, but simple.
There is a huge difference between 8 and 9 and 10+ figure net worths in regard to disposable income. One still has to budget conservatively at 8 figures it would get easier at 9 and 10 figures.

I'm certain, but as I said, other than hunting and traveling more, little else about my lifestyle would change. I'm pretty frugal owing to a time in my adult life when ramen and peanut butter and crackers were staples of my diet. The difference between the top 3% (where I quite happily find myself presently) and the 1% is quite small. The difference between the top 1% and the top 0.1% is vast, let alone the difference between 1% and top 0.01%. At that level, people are asset managers, not employees nor even business owners/entrepreneurs.

I am not saying solar should replace goal. You want really clean then go nuclear also one can replace coal with natural gas. I am fine with increased costs in order to get rid of pollution. Never said we have to shutdown dams either, that is also clean energy.
I agree tanks, nuclear is clean and the answer as I see it , but apparently out of line with the general plan of the elitist klaus schwab controllers, there is a big push too eliminate dams in general, especially on the Columbia river, they already took one out on the klamath in N. CA. now the salmon can die and rot in peace.

They actually took four out on the Klamath in the last 2 years; Copco #1, Copco #2, Irongate, and the JC Boyle.

Spot on. I do not understand how isolationists can’t understand this. It is completely based on historical and current facts. You really have to bury your head in the sand not to see it.

I'm going to disagree with you here... This is age-old talking point of the democrats who have used this to try and justify "need" to flood this country with poor immigrants who they hope to recruit as the next generation of government-dependent democrats...

Firstly, American citizens who don't want these low paying jobs would likely change their minds if their government sponsored entitlements were to end... Disincentivizing lazy Americans will solve much of the demand for labor jobs from within...

Secondly, cheap foreign labor will no longer be so cheap if workers are actually documented, and employers have to pay taxes and insurance on them.

Cheap labor is not a viable economic solution... Flooding the workforce with cheap labor historically drives wages down across the board...

Covid was a perfect example of supply & demand in the workforce. Wages soared in labor-based sectors during and post covid, and these wages have not come down... This was especially evident in the hospitality and food service industry when American workers being paid more by our government not to work created a huge demand for workers that has yet to be adequately met... McDonald's is now paying $15-20 dollars/hour to start and still can't fill their demand for jobs. The problem is not a shortage of cheap foreign labor, nor will it be fixed by a deluge of more poor, dependent immigrants.
I specifically said "I am not talking about cheap labor". You seem to dwell on the idea of foreign labor being "cheap". That is not my experience and I'll wager i have a lot more experience with all labor.

My experience is that foreign labor is much more reliable. They don't take the day off randomly with no notice. They don't leave work early. They show up to work on time. The are generally much more likely to follow SOP's or Protocols. Etc. They are, as a population, better employees. Americans can be butt hurt over that but its still true.

The language barrier is a small challenge, the cultural barrier is bigger and contributes more to communication issues than language alone. But that can all be learned by management.

Tasks can be trained. Work ethic has to be intrinsic.

I agree that some of those Americans who have checked out of the workplace can be forced back by cutting off social programs that enable their laziness. However I dred having to deal with them in service industries such as fast food... and really don't want to personally employ them. They are at best a pain in the ass. But also a drag on business.

It is against CA law to have unregistered guns. New residents have X amount of days to register them. It is also against CA law to import magazines holding more than 10 rounds. Also, if the firearms were loaded it would also be against the CA law to have them in his car.
California really should just be it's own Country. It obviously doesn't want to follow the Constitution of the United States.
