What a load of carp! Barry Soetoro's tentacles still flopping around in the mess. Then I suppose that's the reason they have been so desperate to get rid of him???

They want bit get rid of Biden, as they are not going to be able to pull off the same legal and illegal ballot harvesting as Covid is over.

Pretty good summary article from the WSJ with respect to Tucker's departure.

I don’t lament his departure, but I hope they get a truly professional voice to replace him. Most of all I wish for a return to the day when the news presented facts, as opposed to promoting political agendas.

Or their opinions.

Brandon is a brain dead moron who only got elected because the voters hated Trump more than they wanted to elect him. Did I miss anything? LOL
Nope, sounds about right.

People didn't vote for Biden because he's a charismatic leader, a great orator or even because they liked his policies. They voted for him because they hate Trump.

That's unsurprising. Trump has an enormous image problem, brought on in no small part by his insistence or being an uncouth, inflammatory asshole at every oppurtunity.

Trump wants to run again. Has he taken steps to rehabilitate his brand in the public eye? No. He's doubled down on being an asshole to the point that even some conservatives feel dirty and uncomfortable voting for him. Just look at the dialogue on here, a far more right leaning forum than the general populace...

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Anyone but Trump, literally anyone, would beat Biden in a landslide. But if it is Trump, voters have a choice between a guy they hate, and a guy who is demonstrably incompetent. What a wonderful microcosm of modern two party democracy...

I'd like Trump to do the decent thing and shuffle off into obscurity. Failing that, he could always just die. Either would deliver a nice, stable conservative term so we can work to get past this unfortunate period and get on with our lives. As it is, I fear another dem term is likely.

Not sure about that. The plan to reinstate it was Democrat led and pretty much was aimed at hamstringing stations carrying Rush Limbaugh on AM radio.
Yes it was at the time for sure. But it goes both ways at any given time.
I believe most folks want to see the "news" return to actually reporting the news fairly

I don’t believe they’re trying to get rid of him. Everything they are doing now, all of the negative press, all of the frivolous legal actions, is meant to make him a martyr. Thus ensuring but he gets full support from the MAGA wing and is the Republican nominee. They are certain that Biden can beat him in the general election. Not sure they’re right about that, but they’ve use the same strategy before. The one that I can recall is backing what’s-his-name in the Illinois gubernatorial race so that JB Pritzker could annihilate him in the general election. It worked.

That is, IMHO, a very accurate and well stated summary of where things are at. I have said many times on here - and been shouted down by a few - that if Trump had tried even part of the time to act like an adult or to show even a smidge of humility or class, he'd have won a second term. As you have noted, he has doubled down hard on his previous image.

Did/does the media portray him fairly? NoPe. Him throwing gas on every little thing sure didn't/doesn't help.

I still hold to hope that there is enough time that something happens and places someone else in a position to have the nomination for the Republican Party.

Both the DemonRat and the Republican candidates are to be determined but I am fairly certain that the DemonRats will win the general election - that conclusion is based on two pieces of evidence.
1. The DemonRats have a system of big donors and they know how to spend their money unethically to sway election results.
2. The Republicans continue to go with the establishment leadership using the same old tactics that have resulted in loses or narrow wins ever since 1988.

Agreed. It's a two pronged approach. Fabricate enough bad about him for use in ad campaigns to drive away the moderates. Then, make him a martyr to the devotee's so he can pull out the primary and go on to lose to the talking potato.

My only quibble with this is that the Democrats have not had to do much of anything. He has done way too much of it too himself. And yet, his base will remain solidly behind him through the primaries to the end. And a tottering old man with age related Alzheimer's and no need to really campaign will win handily in the general. We have arrived in a pathetic place.

He is indeed a gift from the heavens in the liberals eyes. There isn't a cow pie he can't step in. He could have taken the high road or just kept his mouth shut on many occasions but chose not to.

I would like to think that the average voter would be dead set against Biden's Alzheimer's brain which will undoubtedly only get worse, but then I'm reminded that PA voted Fetterman.

Pathetic place indeed.

The Republicans could have Jesus as President and St. Peter as VP and still lose if the national party does not get their rear in gear and start working on a vote harvesting plan where legal and suing now in the states where it’s not. Short of that it’s over except who will be the D candidate, Biden, RFK, Jr or god help us Gavin Newsom.

You have to win the early vote or at least be very close.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
