Interesting news day. Don Lemon was let go today as well from CNN.

I agree with @Red Leg. Tucker used to be what I turned on as soon as I walked in the house. I was all in for him, Shannon Bream, and Gutfeld. Tucker started to lose me big time a little over a year ago. I will be interested to see how this shakes out.

Or his misreporting on Ukraine and the election, or Dominion and other pending lawsuits, or some combination thereof? He is their most popular commentator. Will be curious where he goes. I use to be a huge fan.

Tucker used to be a very good commentator. Over the past couple of years his personal agenda and emotions have destroyed his credibility.

My guess is he will go "private" and stay away from any/all of the big, established networks... With his current popularity and following it would be easy for him to host a daily pod cast / online show.. much like Megyn Kelly has done.. get some air time on SiriusXM.. etc.. and make a truck load of money for the next several years.. All he has to do is stay relevant for a few months while he gets all of the infrastructure in place and then do a big launch.. people will flock to whatever he puts out there..

My further guess is network "news" like CNN, MSNBC, Fox, etc are going to start becoming less and less relevant over the next few years.. especially to audiences that lean center to right of center... Too many popular personalities like Kelly, Candace Owens, etc are offering their own online outlets for political commentary, news, etc.. Why tune into CNN or Fox when you can hear what Tucker or Lemon have to offer by going to their individual www.com site and listen to them 24/7/365 at your leisure..

Tucker reminds me of Glen Beck! Started good, and then got too emotional and into the deep end. I wish him well.

Surprising, considering he is their highest rated program. Don Lemon on the other hand, surprised he lasted this long, when continues not the follow changes of the new owners.

I guess Laura will take his time slot in short order. Perhaps OAN will pick him up.

Mini pet peeve. Not that I watch Ingraham much if at all. Does it bother anyone else how freaking much she cuts people off when they are responding? When I did used to periodically watch, drove me nuts. I wanted to slap duct tape over her mouth so people could actually finish responding. OK, mini rant over.

Yes, that aggravates the heck out me too. It is rude and shows lack of respect.

Other than current events like hurricane's, election day coverage, early days of covid, early days of Russian invasion, etc., I haven't really paid much attention to television or cable media for a few years. What did Tucker do or was it a culmination of things?

Nothing has leaked yet, but I suspect the latter. It was sudden. He gave no indication during the Friday sign off.

I suspect it has something to do with a lawsuit from a coworker who claims when she was transfer to Tucker’s show that her alleged harassment increased (hostile work environment). But just a guess, no inside info.

After the fiasco with Bud Light, I think many companies are going to be stepping a bit on the brakes…
I read an interesting article about how the LGTBQ(?) has somewhat supported bud since the Coors strikes in the late 60’s.

Im not sure how much merit the article held though.

One aspect of the Dominion case that has received zero coverage or comment in Trump world, was Tucker's prominent sourcing in the Dominion filing. Carlson's emails and text messages at the time indicate his off air anger with the network's continuing coverage of Trump's claims and his weariness of Trump himself.

A couple of speculative articles.

I don't suppose Carlson's firing had anything to do with his airing of the January 6 video pointing out the Powers That Be's lies about the "insurrection". Pressure from on high can be fierce.

Looks like you are onto something.

Wonder what odds Vegas is offering that John Malone hires Tucker at CNN?

Carlson's faked laugh and general persona really started to irk me over the past several months. I always felt his high ratings were more because conservatives really only have Fox to tune into, whereas others can flip between a number of liberal programs.
A bit surprising for sure, but I can't say that I'll miss him. Likely will get the same info, just from a different personality.

That is one reason I can't stand CBS's Margaret Brennan on Face the Nation. She does it all the time.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
