Anyone remember the massacre and Islamist uprising in Mozambique nearly two years ago for the huge natural gas fields? The following link HAS to be read!!! You will NEVER buy petrol or diesel from a Total garage ever again. I know I won't.

Interesting read. Appreciate your posting the story.

Total doesn't sound like an endearing company to work for or buy from.

When Tehran fell, a couple of my friends worked for EDS. Ross Perot got his employees that were locked up out of Iran. You couldn't drag my friends away from EDS until well after Perot sold out to GM. It doesn't sound like that kind of loyalty would exist at Total.

I recall in the early '80s the national debt reached $1Trillion and several commentators were predicting the end of the world as we knew it- of course the prime interest rate was close to 20% so just paying debt maintenance amounted to $200Billion per year and in those days that was some real money. And now, look at it, Gasp.

Russian politicians are touting "Alaska is Ours". They might want to rethink that.
How many firearms does the average Alaskan own? A good many Alaskans know how to hunt and shoot proficiently. The thought of the inept Russian army trying to occupy heavily armed Alaska reminds me of what the fictional Richard Blaine told German Major Strasser;

"Major Strasser: Are you one of those people who cannot imagine the Germans in their beloved Paris?
Rick Blaine: It's not particularly my beloved Paris.
Heinz: Can you imagine us in London?
Rick Blaine: When you get there, ask me!
Captain Renault: Hmmh! Diplomatist!
Major Strasser: How about New York?
Rick Blaine: Well there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade."

Posted without comment. This is one of the two most popular current event shows on Russian state controlled television.

In the Great American Experiment one of the issues we got right fairly quickly was how to change our government peacefully. When John Adams left the presidency and Thomas Jefferson became president, that was a major political change. This type of change in any other country at the time would have required considerable blood shed. We did fail in the 1860’s. Since the 1860’s we have managed to handle changes in our government peacefully on a consistent basis. Fortunately, many countries today have learned this lesson. There are a few more that still need to learn that changed in government and government leaders every 10 years or so is a good thing.

Oil and gas production creates record tax revenue for State of Texas

Railroad Commission of Texas Chairman Wayne Christian applauds the Texas oil and gas industry following the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts’ announcement of record-breaking tax revenues from the industry.

“Despite President Biden’s delusional desire to transition away from fossil fuels, Comptroller Hegar’s announcement reinforces the fact that oil and gas literally fuels every facet of our lives from energy to food and beyond,” said Railroad Commission Chairman Wayne Christian. “In addition to paying record-breaking tax revenue which funds our schools, roads, first responders and more, Texas’ oil and gas industry is our economy’s lifeblood supporting roughly one-third of our state’s economy and paying an average salary of $130,000. Oil and gas production is also so much more than simply fueling our energy use and funding our government, it produces about 96% of everyday consumer items including electricity, gasoline, plastics, medicine and countless others.”

The Comptroller recently announced the oil and gas industry paid record-breaking taxes to the state. In June, the oil production tax generated $679 million – up 87% from June 2021 and the highest monthly collection on record. For the same month, the natural gas production tax generated $439 million – up 176% from June 2021 and the highest monthly collection on record.

I am sure a few guys with rifles would terrify a properly equipped, led, and supported landing force. However, fortunately, and just in case, we do have nine military bases in Alaska with Elmendorf able to flex in a significant amount of additional airpower. Wainwright and Richardson host two separate brigade combat teams.

Those AR15's and 30-06's are awesome, but fairly ridiculous when confronting with a BMP 3.

They had a Dutch Lawyer Supporting the Farmers on Fox/Tucker last night appealing to the US to Pay Attention to what's Happening in the Netherlands, not much out their Covering the Story. It could happen here in the US as well .. this is wild!

Agreed, Alaska is well defended by our military. Their weak link is fuel. The system I ran in Alaska was able to produce all the JP-8 they needed. Unfortunately that system has been dismantled and the remaining producers (Tesoro and ASRC) cannot meet their demand. This puts the state in a net import scenario on all fuels. A fairly ridiculous outcome for a strategic asset with unlimited crude oil reserves.

My good General,

I am usually in complete agreement with you.

Yes, a fleet of BMP-3s with their 30mm r 57mm autocannons and 7.62 PKTs, and a few ATGMs is a scary foe. Closing with, and destroying one's enemy would be the easy step. Occupying those not destroyed is the hard part.

A rifle behind every blade of grass. In Alaska, there are a lot of big, accurate rifles wielded by no-nonsense people who have grown up shooting game in adverse conditions.

Of course all the Alaskans would need to do is pull back until the Ruskies run out of fuel! Then the fun would begin.

That would be Fine
If our Military was Funded Properly, they can't find Recruitments. 10% lost due to unvaccinated, woke culture introduced, etc ...

"My supervisor, Reserve made Capt., can get me a waiver, Regardless of My Age, to join the Reserves".

Seriously, Could you imagine a Draft these days?

We've become a laughingstock. Nothing would Suprise me ..

I won't call this one stupid, just woefully ignorant.... More far-left talking points based in fiction:

It's absolutely not hypocritical to be pro-life and support the death penalty same time. You can be pro-life for the innocent and still believe that the penalty for capitol murder should be death.. I see that you are Scandinavian so I will explain that in the USA, the death penalty is reserved for 1st degree murder which is defined as the premeditated, deliberate taking of a life much like the decision to abort a child in the second or third trimester.

The hard truth is that armed security the schools is just one of several practical, immediate solutions to address school shootings. Why do you think schools are the target of choice of this mentally deranged killers? They are soft-targets. Training and arming willing competent staff members and employing armed private security or police would significantly mitigate if not deter completely any future school shootings.. So, I hate to destroy your talking point, but in reality, guns in schools would save lives, not endanger them..

The kids in cages is just another contrived falsehood in the very long line of bullshit narratives created by the left... The truth is that Comrade Obama was actually the POTUS when the first photos of "kids in cages" where taken. Furthermore, "the so-called cages" were nothing more than temporary improvised chain-link enclosures used to contain the massive flood of immigrants that continue to overwhelm our Southern border. When you have thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants crossing the border daily, you have to do something to contain them in the short term, and the "cages' were hardly inhumane by any crisis standard. These "caged" children got better food and health care than they ever did in their home country...

Your last three pics claiming that republicans are against all of these various social welfare programs the USA funds is also complete and total bullshit. The majority of Americans democrat, republican, and independent have always supported social programs that are designed to provide temporary relief for those US citizens in the lowest income categories. What most Americans are against are corruptions and exploitations of these programs whereby people live off the government indefinitely. Most Americans are also in opposition to these types of benefits being granted to illegal aliens before US citizens.

Get your facts straight and try again..
You effin NAILED IT!!!

You effin NAILED IT!!!

Agreed! One other point to add; it is a fact that conservatives give far more to non-profit organizations conducting humanitarian work than liberals do. Believing that it is not the governments place to conduct social welfare does not equate to an unwillingness to help those in need. The government is actually the least effective organization to deliver humanitarian aid. The numbers are quite clear if you care to understand the facts. If your preference is to repeat left wing BS, then have at it.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
