It is bizarre to me that a foreign leader can call the VP a bitch in the oval office and people are cheering it on.

And I get it, I have been in meetings where I know I was being lied to, they knew they were lying but I sat there and kept my mouth shut because they had something I wanted.

This is the 2nd time Z has backed out on his word with the mineral deal, and I know Trump runs his mouth, but the Z good, Trump bad, is getting old.

Maybe they are both obnoxious and shouldn't be put on live TV?
Zelensky was told to leave. He was there to sign the deal but couldn’t handle the BS. Probably should have bit his lip but his people and recruiting were being disparaged.

How would you protect a container of hydrogen from collisions? It’s very volatile. Like driving around on a bomb.

Hydrogen can be transported by pipeline just like natural gas first of all. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have been around and your concerns addressed in links below. I'm not concerned about hauling around a tank of hydrogen any more than a tank of gasoline. Nor am I more concerned with a pipeline explosion of hydrogen than I am natural gas.

The challenge is where do you get the hydrogen from. It can be had from natural gas, which some would say defeats the purpose. But if you still will require oil and natural gas anyway, then some could be diverted to hydrogen production. The process however to get hydrogen from the natural gas involves energy too. You can also get it from water by reversing the process. But again it requires energy and of course the water that is in some places not so plentiful.

How the numbers work out and whether it's a net environmental positive to use hydrogen as an automotive fuel for petroleum, I don't know. @WAB perhaps can answer that question.

I wonder if this type of outrage would exist if the shoe was on the other foot? Hypothetical of course, what if it was us in trouble and all Trump had to do was sign a deal that had already been ironed out but couldn’t control himself and ruined it? (hopefully it’s still on the table) I doubt he would be applauded like Z is

I voted to stop giving money to the UN, NATO, and don’t care what happens to Europe.

Europe can solve its own problems with its own money and people. My pleasure is in fixing the American economy from within. Until Russia, China, or whomever is at the Mexican or Canadian border I couldn’t care less.

If we gain access to unfettered mineral rights in Ukraine then I would begrudgingly give whatever was agreed to in a treaty but not one penny more. Twice we’ve saved Europe only to be treated like fecal matter by a lot of Europeans.

I voted to stop incurring debt. I voted for a return to the Constitutional principles our nation was founded on and a smaller federal government. I voted for State’s Rights. I voted for isolationism or barring that more favorable trade terms.

Those are my pleasures.
A lot of people think that way. We went through the same thinking in the 1920s. It didn't turn out to well.

I think Trump thought he was taping another episode of "The Apprentice."

If and when we see these JFK files we’ve been promised, what do you think we will find out?

I am ascribing to the friendly fire conspiracy theory for now. That or it’s what they said all along.

Well honestly how did you expect it to go?.....

He was asked to wear a suit and tie and instead showed up to a meeting with his multi billion dollar benefactor(USA) dressed like he's an actor on the Soprano's with an attitude to match.

What about Musk? He doesn't wear a suit to the WH. Heck, he doesn't even take his hat off. Very disrespectful. Totally, totally disrespectful. Elon can certainly afford to buy a suit.

Supposedly Zelensky does own a couple of suits, but while they were at the dry cleaners, Russian missiles took them out. It's part of their plan.

Then 10 Downing Street slapped down the Ambassadors statement..

I clearly missed that one, The Daily Mail is covered up in Oscars stories right now.

easy miss.. the Ambo's comment, and then 10 Downings rebuttal happened within just a few minutes of each other.. I think some news outlets ran quickly with the ambo, not realizing that 10 Downing was responding before they managed to get a story to print..

Honestly I don't think Starmer knows where he stands on the issue.. he seems to be waffling back and forth a bit.. one minute he's shouting Slava Ukraini!... the next minute he's making comments about how its time for Ukraine to find peace and negotiate an end to the war..

At the end of the day Starmer knows what everyone else knows.. Europe can step up better than it has for decades in terms of its own defense (and therefore its ability to assist and support Ukraine).. but that wont be enough at this point and time to secure anything.. they've waited too late to get the necessary momentum.. the EU and Ukraine needs the US to buy into whatever solution they come up with.. and that's not going to be easy with the current relationship situation between Zelenskyy and Trump.. So priority #1 has to be getting Zelenskyy back at the table with Trump.. which is clearly going to require some pretty serious concessions.. or the UK, the EU, and other European countries outside of the EU and/or NATO are going to have an economy crushing bill to pay in the very near future..

Blah blah blah.. Not a leader of a nation who was there to sign a deal… I agree about Musk but that doesn’t excuse Z…

What about hydrogen?

Impractical. There is very little energy in a hydrogen bond. The only way it could approach practicality is with an economic method of liquefying hydrogen. But then you have bottles of liquid hydrogen in vehicles. I think I’ll pass.

I have a lot of experience with hydrogen systems. Steam methane reformers, catalytic reformers, hydrocrackers, hydrotreaters, etc.. I have designed them, built them and operated them. As a result, I was asked to review an associates potential investment in a hydrogen fuels company. It took about five minutes to determine that they were either writing new
Laws of thermodynamics or flat out lying. All this after the infusion of many millions of dollars of taxpayer money. It is incredible how little common sense is applied to the distributor our money!

Scott Bessent continues to impress...

Some very salient points from his interview on Meet the Press..

The D's ran on "the economy is fine"... but here we are just 45 days into a new administration and the left is pointing out all sorts of problems with the economy (10 yrs are too high! prices are too high! interest rates are too high!) and trying to make issue of the fact that the new administration hasn't fixed the problems clearly created by decisions made by the prior administration..

also of interest.. Mexico is now offering to match US tariffs on China.. that's a pretty smart move on their part I think.. that's a palatable bargaining chip for the US considering lower (or no) new tariffs on Mexico, which is something we know the Mexicans really don't want...

He's also very clear that the prior "economic deal" offered to Ukraine is now off the table at least for the time being.. we're back to square one..

I'm going to keep advising.. watch Bessent and watch Lutnick closely.. those are two beasts in the administration that wont get the same attention Rubio, Hegseth, et al will get.. but have the ability to seriously change the game in a positive way on the economic side of the house if we can keep the politicians and the media out of the way..

Did you see the picture of Zelensky with the European leaders? Nobody was or is complaining.
A suite does not make a man nor dressing up like a warrior.
However MAGA is desperately trying to hold on to any excuse to justify the behaviour of their never can do wrong leader.
I voted down ballet and not for Trump and I'm glad I did not.
We had a senile puppet now we have a narcissist sociopath.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.

I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).

Very interested.

Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?

I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
