There will no doubt be a flurry of pardons from Biden a week or two before the travesty of his term comes to an end.
As was from Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump. That is par for the course for an outgoing POTUS.

Like your intent.
Probably should have thought a little more on your wording. The end of his destructive anti America, anti American, onslaught of his and his family, and his cohorts corruption term is not a travesty. More like a Hallelujah! This scumbag is finally gone! Moment.

Well, looks like Assad took off from Syria (the red plane is a private plane that took off at 5PM local time). Surprised there isn't more news about this. Green is anti-Assad forces. What will be interesting is what will happen to the Russian port access.

Not a really good week for the little ex-KGB goon in the Kremlin. His proxy ally in Syria is collapsing as his military scrambles to evacuate the country. Georgia seems on the verge of a popular revolt not dissimilar to that which occurred in Ukraine (I assume someone here will blame Victoria Nuland for that shortly). His mercenary forces in Sudan are suddenly hiding behind the wire after suffering huge losses. His BRICS allies, a group that can't manage their own economies, saw their threats to supplant the dollar treated as farce. The ruble is collapsing while interest rates and inflation are close to spiraling out of control. Finally, nearly everyone on the planet except Tulsi Gabbard and Tucker Carlson, listened to the latest Russian nuclear threats and shrugged. On the battlefield, the Russians have suffered the highest four weeks of casualties since the war began, with minimal tactical gains and no strategic movement. The propagandists over on Russian television even seem suddenly nervous where Trump stands with respect to Ukraine as he again meets with Zelensky in Paris. What is a former Bolshevik or current apologist to do?

House speaker Johnson has denied Bidens request for $24 billion in additional aid to the Ukraine.
Stating that any additional funding, if any, will wait until Trump is in office

Trumps election is changing the dynamic of the war, as well as other global issues, and world leaders.

I am no fan of Milley, but What was his treasonous behavior? Cite a specific law or violation of the UCMJ that Milley committed. Despising his boss doesn't count. I should add, I am very familiar with his totally appropriate calls to his international counterparts which were vetted through the interagency process. In fact, I am thankful someone was paying attention to international risks while our president was clearly focused on anything but.
Would insubordination suffice, chief of Joint chiefs of staff answerers to the commander and chief ,NO? or dereliction of duty, with regard to the totally bungled AFGAN retreat in 2021 .Not what we would expect from the world class military.

I agree , Mr. Carlson should stay stateside and quit playing CHAMBERLAIN hes out of his league ,unless hes working for the CIA WHICH IS ENTIRELY POSSIBLE.

Once again, if you want to hold a general accountable for the Afghan exit, it is not Milley. The chairman is not in the chain of command.

I posted earlier that by the looks of how the pistol action worked. It looked like a HushPuppy Glock kit
Which operates like a modern Welrod

The most silent is a bolt action pistol. The Glock kit disables the action from cycling which adds to the noise. NYC has cameras that are activated by gunfire.
if that’s what he used. He did enough research on that subject. But obviously he had holes in his research and follow up plan.

while I’m all too happy to watch the Russians take another kick in the nuts in Syria… I’m not sure I’m inclined to truly celebrate it…

The ISIL rebels that are taking the helm of Syria aren’t exactly our friends either.. and it’s a fairly safe bet that once they fully route Syrian govt forces the next group that will get trounced will be the Kurdish rebels that the US has been supporting…

Once left to their own devices, HTS may well turn Syria into the next terrorist training incompetent nation state like Afghanistan was in the 90’s…

While Assad was a tyrant, dictator, and general asshole, he was at least somewhat tolerant of Christian’s, Druze, and other groups, and didn’t get nearly as involved in state sponsored terrorism like many of his middle eastern neighbors…

I’m not sure Israel is going to enjoy having an ISIL nation sharing a piece of its border… or that having HTS in charge is going to be good for the US..

During the war in Vietnam special forces had a contraption affixed to Smith and Wesson Model 39 that locked the action in place so it worked silently with the supplied suppressor. Maj. John Plaster recounts using one on different occasions in his book.

I’ve also read this. So who knows.

“Closer inspection of the video, as well as the shell casings and unspent round that was recovered, have determined that the firearm almost certainly used by the assailant wasn't the aforementioned Welrod or B&T VP9. Nor was the ammunition subsonic.”

The mental gymnastics of people in the West cheering for Takfiri militants from all over the world never ceases to amaze me. A not insignificant percentage (maybe the majority) of these anti-Assad forces are almost cartoonishly evil.

There will likely be another huge wave of migrants into Europe from Syria. We'll see if Turkey steps up to the plate and keeps their HTS goons in check and prevents the familiar behavior of these groups (doubtful).

The ancient Christian sites in Syria will likely be destroyed like they were in the early days of the "moderate rebel grassroots totally not a proxy" movement. If they do go after the Kurds.... I doubt Erdogan does anything to stop it, and may even provide support.

And the charges would be what, don't piss Trump off? We are getting closer and closer to a banana republic (yes, I know the Democrats started it).
A president has numerous tools at their disposal to make life for retired military, especially those monetizing their prior service, difficult. Many of them wouldn't require an indictment or UCMJ pre-trail investigation, much less either of the subsequent proceedings.

I thought you liked Brandon’s OK for Ukraine’s use longer range missiles because it gave Trump a better bargaining position for ending the war. Unless mistaken, I thought that was one of the justifications you used supporting that decision by the lame duck POTUS with dementia with very limited time left in office? Also, still waiting for your strategic plan for resolution of the Ukraine war… short of WW3. Haven’t seen any vision or plan yet… crickets.. You like to boast about having inside access or knowledge as to what is going on in Ukraine. Got any realistic, up-to-date casualty and damage estimates you’d care to share? I’ve heard they are unbelievably high for both sides with major parts of Ukraine in rubble- I think the sterile acronym is called BDA. At the end of all this, hope all those who have supported or been in favor, own it, but somehow I suspect we’ll hear nothing but endless rationalizations and “if only, coulda. shoulda, etc.”.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
