My diagnosis is that the Democrats committed suicide on the altar of elitism and wokism....

In mid-2021 when the whole wokism thing began to really start spiking, I basically predicted this would happen. The American public finally had enough. I've always been GOP but you have to imagine the old Blue-Dog Dems don't like what has been happening either. The American public is fed up with the ridiculousness.

We have hyper-inflation, two world conflicts, a mass immigration/crime problem...and we're worried about guys being able to identify as women and change in the girls locker room?

Slowly things began to fall apart. Dems left the party...Gabbard, Manchin, etc. Wokism got worse. Economy slipped. Broken promises with student loan forgiveness.

This has been almost exactly 4 years in the making. They got everything that was coming to them.

No bigger testament to how bad things have gotten can made than Trump being elected, despite everything they threw at him, by a significant margin.

A couple of financial thoughts off the top of my head:

I don't want to own investment real estate in greater DC. Trump and Musk.

I don't want pharmaceutical companies in my portfolio in the near term. RFK Jr.

I don't want any of the three national broadcasters in my portfolio. Musk auctioning off the bandwidth they get for free now. Also they are proving themselves obsolete and untrustworthy.

I don't want solar farms or windmill farms that have gotten forced sweetheart deals with utility companies.

I don't want to own hotels, apartments or houses that have sweetheart deals with NGO's to house illegals.

I don't want to own bus companies and air companies that contract with NGO's to move illegals throughout America.

I don't want to own investment real estate in cities or towns that are surrounded by Federal lands and artificially inflated. Musk auctioning some Federal lands in these western states off and giving other Federal lands that aren't National Parks to the States to manage.

I am not saying all these things will happen but see no reason to be exposed to the risk with limited upside.

Does anyone know (not guess) which unit this is? It has often been stated Selous Scout, but this is unlikely considering Selous Scout typically included captured insurgents and posed as insurgents. Not exactly the racial profile of these guys


PS: tactically unsound, hence not on a real operation, no one would go very far in a firefight with only one mag and no load-bearing vest or web gear although at least one of them (the one on the right) has two spare mags on his belt on the right side (and maybe two more on the left side). Possibly the most experienced one...............

The only thing lacking from this Trump victory, was the shots of Harris supporters crying like Clinton’s supporters were in 2016.
Like Clinton, Harris doesn’t have the guts to come out and address her supporters.

The lefts hatred of Trump is without boundaries. This win probably magnifies that. What will they have in store next?
This razor thin house race lead is critical. Without a house majority, it will be impossible for Trump to move the agenda forward, not to mention a never ending assault on Trump himself.

Unfortunately, California voters elected Democrat Adam Schitt for brains to the US Senate. Remember him? Leading the false Russian collusion impeachment trial against Trump even after then FBI Director Comey told him there was no evidence of ANY collusion between Trump and the Russians. McCarthy should have kicked him out of the House but gave him a pass by allowing the House members to vote on his expulsion. And of course, he was saved by a handful of RINOS voting with Democrats which allow him to remain. Now, we'll have to listen to his dumb ass as a Senator. I'm sure he'll be leading the charge with filibusters in the Senate. He's a hemorrhoid that just won't go away.

Elitism and Wokism aren't necessarily lacking in idealism, or honour. Very much not my cup of tea. But elites have gotten us to where we are, and woke works because it is believed to be more freedom and civil rights, by people who haven't looked under the hood.

The Democrats are closer to a death cult with their enabling of violent criminals, mutilation and murder of children, child trafficking, never ending wars, medical malpractice, etc... Their alter is closer to something MS13 would feel comfortable with. I'm not talking about the people who think democracy is good, so the party feels like home. And the attitudes are not solely found in the Democratic party.

Harris herself "wrote" the laws that made theft under $950 a misdemeanor, and released violent offenders by defining climes like drugging for rape, as non-violent. You only do that kind of thing is you just want to see it all burn.

The Rhodesian photo, while possibly staged, looks more like a rest brake on patrol. Shirts and webbing off. You can see the webbing at the feet of the soldier second from the left. The others were probably out of picture. I wouldn't guess the unit but unlikely to be Selous Scouts, most likly standard infantry. The Selous Scouts generally operated using pseudo gang tactics, typicaly were bearded, multi racial and not wearing standard Rhodesian uniform.

Yes, Trump has won. No, nothing will be official until January. I suspect there will not be a concession until every conceivable path to a win has been exhausted by Harris. There is a beyond minuscule chance that anything will change in the presidential race.

Yes, I am disappointed for the country. As some have said in this thread, now is the time for the Democratic Party to recenter. The far left has had undue influence over the party and left the center-left behind.

What is most disappointing is that this really cements the far right recentering of the Republican Party. Both parties have moved far from center but the R is going to stay that way for the foreseeable future.

This go round there will be no guardrails. If this guy is as great as you appear to believe, let’s see it happen. I only hope that his worst impulses never come to fruition.

Let's not mince words, let's not pretend like things are other than they are. The San Fran DA job was handed to her - a black/Asian female with a "D" by her name in Cali? Same for when she ran for Cali AG, same for when she ran for the senate from Cali. When she actually had to run against real competition in 2020 and again this year, she showed who she was: weak. Not just weak, but inexcusably, pathetically weak considering the job she was applying for. That there were any sane, rational, mature adults who voted for her is depressing. I can certainly understand the psychologically damaged woke retards voting for her. But not anyone else.

I'm glad Trump won, but in all honesty, I'm far more relieved that a petulant light-weight like she is didn't end up sitting behind The Resolute Desk. She is of lower moral fiber than even LBJ was. But even LBJ had giant, brass balls. She's at heart a coward, a wilting flower. I cannot even begin to imagine the convoluted mental gymnastics it would have taken for someone to cast a ballot for her.
