RedState has just published Strieff's latest update on the war. It is, as usual, extremely through. I would call particular attention to the Estonian intel assessment contained therein.

What better way to gain support for Ukraine than for the spooks to do something easily blamed on Putin……..
Meaning what? The CIA killed Navalny inside a Siberian Russian prison?

Not necessarily the Cristian’s in action, there’s all kinds of spooks including Russian anti Putin spooks. And I don’t trust our government as far as I can throw them.

Has anyone watched or seen some of the Fulton county DA testimony? Fani Willis.

It’s shocking how unskilled she is. If I were a tax payer in that county. I’d be asking for a refund.

She named the three islands she has traveled to with her prosecutor she is involved with. And does not know which continent they are on.

Her babbling rambling answers demonstrate she would be a very unskilled litigator.

And she is prosecuting the former president of the U.S.

A first year law student should be able to defend against her.

I've seen a lot of her testimony through various outlets. The arrogance, entitlement and lack of self awareness is astounding. Even liberal outlets are hinting that she may have brought a giant mess down on herself. Her body language, excuses, defensiveness, strange personal stories, etc. was difficult and scary to watch.

Awful to be sure. Not certain what it necessarily does for Trump other than potentially delay the trial if she and her paramour are recused. If I understand this correctly, the judge can base his decision on an "appearance" of unethical behavior. Even he does, the case will go to another prosecutor. There also does not seem to be any clear evidence that her relationship with the prosecutor began prior to charging which undermines much of the case against them. Without a smoking gun, I suspect a white judge is unlikely to impose some sort of sanction on a black female. :E Shrug:

I agree. Her sleaze and loose interpretation of ethics do not give Trump a win.

It may delay everything until it’s then deemed too close to the election. And would then most likely be put off until after November

No tangible evidence so far that I know of but this witness contradicts their claims.

Could they claim that she only brought the charges in order to further the career/financial well being of her boyfriend?

I think she clearly brought charges to further her own career. She sees herself as the next Stacey Abrams of Georgia. I think bringing her lover in offers the potential for him to clearly profit, and perhaps her as well, depending what deal they have. But you have to prove that he was her boyfriend prior to hiring him and his firm (2019). if they became lovers after he was hired it is merely unseemly. Other than the "friend" who said they were, there appears to be little actual evidence.

I'm sure someone in the Democrat Party basically assured her a Congressional seat or some board position somewhere if she went along with the charges. That or a nice compensation for "speaking at events" at some point.

I doubt that it took much prodding, although given the intellect she has displayed thus far, she likely did not come up with the idea on her own.

Haley said at rally in SC that trump called those laid to rest at Arlington NC “losers and Suckers…” strange that there’s no video of that…..

Actually it isn't. It took place as a conversation away from any cameras. Trump's former and longest serving (and suffering) Chief of Staff, John Kelley, who has apparently finally had enough, confirmed it. He accompanied the President on the trip to France when it occurred and heard him say it. Moreover, it tracks with other things Trump has said about former members of the military which was televised such as his disparagement of Senator John McCain. Moreover, Kelley is a retired General Officer with a sterling reputation and lifetime record of selfless service to his country. If I had to believe him or Donald Trump, it isn't the remotest contest.

Kelley provided this statement to the press on October 3, 2023

"A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them,'"

"A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family — for all Gold Star families — on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.”

He provided a lot of additional background and perspective. Of course the Trump apologists immediately called Kelley a liar and opportunist, because Trump obviously can do no wrong.

I’ll have to take your word for it and your word is good enough for me. It’s just suprising that nobody got tape if he’s done this so often.

For the incident in France, there is no tape - it was a conversation away from cameras. We have to believe either Kelley or Trump.

This is his first comment about McCain that angered so many veterans.

To remind McCain was shot down over Hanoi in 1967. He was not released until 1973 in spite of being one of the most seriously injured POWs. His injuries resulted not from the shootdown, but from continuous beatings and solitary confinement. Most McCain haters don't know that he was a Navy brat and that is father was a Vice Admiral. A video condemning US involvement in Vietnam would have been useful to his captors. He would not cooperate, and suffered from the injuries he received there the rest of his life.

Trump continued to go after him even after he was dead. Is it any wonder his daughter hates him?

You may remember, A Gold Star family was exploited by the Democrats at their convention. In typical Trump fashion rather than attack those who exploited the loss of their son, he went after the parents. Again, a lot of veterans were put off by that behavior.

Remember it well. As I’ve said before he says a lot of crap he’d be better served not to like the most current BS about encouraging the Russians to go after nato countries that are delinquent on paying their share. He just never knows when to stop.

McCain's grandfather was also an Admiral during WW2.

Yes. Both of them Four Stars. Rather remarkable three generations of service to the country. And then we have Trump.
