Trump in Iowa...

This year the Baltimore Ravens lost in the preseason for the first time since 2015; they won a remarkable 24 consecutive games. Remind me... how many Super Bowls did they win? Oh, yeah, right. (Factoid: they only made the playoffs in half of those years.)

And maybe it's me, but his attempts to sound magnanimous to the other hopefuls after his Iowa, um, "win" smacked of bullshit. After listening to him trash them for weeks and then spew that? I actually have less respect for that than I do if he'd remained a pompous ass in his "victory" speech. It is the same guy who hired and fired staff and cabinet people while in office.

Because I do like sports, I am still hoping for a Villanova over Georgetown, or a Lorenzo Charles at the buzzer. Or, more recently with my Chiefs, Super Bowl LIV. Someone tell Haley she still has time to run Wasp.
That used to be called being a gracious winner, but its also called politics. I dont let such business offend me like some.
The most offensive man in America is Joe Biden.

Fake news or disinformation takes many forms. This is a little off topic, but ever notice how MNM always posts a foto of President Trump after catching him at his most awful? A sneer maybe. (BTW this is not a challenge) But President Obama is always pictured thoughtful, maybe pensive or aloof? And President Trump is "TRUMP" while the Sniffer of Girl Children, is "President Biden"? Or the most prolific bomber of civilians is "President Obama". They are having a field day with Iowa now. Except for Rachel Maddow.....she won't cover Pres Trump.....remember she said if he is elected that he will execute her? (a 4th grader?) Anyway, just watched a few of Joe's gaffes on a compilation. Now, I don't judge him because he mistook his sister for his wife.....folks in Arkansas been doing that for generations. But I have to counter ABC "Trump used some of the same words as Hitler) (3rd grader?) So let me sink to their level........Sniffer Joe is like Ted Bundy....he ate some of the same foods as Bundy, and he also drank water. So did Biden. They must be similar. Or maybe the same. And don't forget, President Trump will execute us if he gets into office. (Ukraine agrees) Anyway, random thoughts from this farce some call journalism.....congrats to President Trump supporters in Iowa.....FWB
I said so a few months back that I am seeing a change in Trump, he is more reasonable. These changes don’t happen over night, if they did you would have reason for skeptisism, but a gradual change is driven by something more solid and real.

Agreed on Biden.

Trump is a close second. Gracious winner? I'd like to see a bit more of that grace before winning. I cannot and will not excuse boorishness for "that's politics." I'd like to see a little more decorum.

Decorum and 10 cents will get you absolutely nothing. The dem tards play for keeps, time to take off the gloves and meet them. Decorum my butt!
This aint tiddlywinks.

The problem is that he’s an equal opportunity boor. He doesn’t know how or when to turn it off. More like a playground bully than a president. If you want to see
How to fight with class and get things done, you need look no further than Ronald
Reagan. What I wouldn’t give for a leader like him now!

We have different perspectives. Being aggressive and being a baseless jerk (to your own side!) are different things and can be mutually exclusive. I expect better of those who represent me.

So would I, but those days are gone for the foreseeable future.

Its politics, and its become a bare knuckle sport. If you want decorum, go find a place serving high tea in little dainty cups with crumpets.

It doesn’t have to be. You can win with class.

I cant stand him now, but when Mitt ran against BarryO, I thought he ran a classy campaign, very clean, and I happily voted for him. What did it get us?
2 terms of Barry.
So much for class. Is Joe Biden a class act? He could actually win again because half of our side is more concerned with the niceties, than winning.
Evil Orange man, isnt nice, tweets mean things, lacks class and decorum, brash and rude, LOL.
We need a guy with cajónes in the WH, not some namby pamby guy with class and decorum.
Good grief guys.

In 1864, Harper’s Weekly helpfully published an article which contained a small compendium of some of the insults that had been lobbed Lincoln’s way: “Filthy story-teller, Ignoramus Abe, Despot, Old scoundrel, big secessionist, perjurer, liar, robber, thief, swindler, braggart, tyrant, buffoon, fiend, usurper, butcher, monster, land-pirate, a long, lean, lank, lantern-jawed, high-cheeked-boned, spavined, rail-splitting stallion.”

President Lincoln was once publicly called two-faced, as in being a liar.

Lincoln being a gifted wordsmith but perhaps not handsome quickly responded,
"If I had another face, why would I wear this one?"

The democrats are more concerned about Haley than trump. Don’t fall for the Obama hand wringing. (Oh my what if Trump wins it’s the end of democracy). That’s a ruse. They want Trump as the candidate. Moderates, independents and college educated white woman. Hate Trump.

This is not what I have been reading or hearing. Big Democrat donors are donating to Haley in New Hampshire. Democratic PAC's like Primary Pivot are pushing Democrats to switch their party to undeclared so they can vote in the Republican primary for Haley. They know they have a Biden problem and want to give Haley traction, which she will get in NH. Democrats are concerned about defeating Trump in November and are taking a shot at trying to get Haley on the ballot. Their thoughts are it may be better to have a Republican who won't rock the boat in DC than have Trump.

Most of the time I would agree with you. The divide in the country now probably makes 2024 an exception to that rule.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
