Figured when the Republican led Texas Legislature voted overwhelmingly to impeach Paxton that he must be guilty of something. After seeing some of the snippets coming out of the trial, the witness's seem pretty pathetic and the House's presenter seems pretty weak.

Evidently Texas Republican's don't like to see their Bush's defeated in an election. Wonder how many of these Texas Republican Representatives will get primaried over their vote.

Several will get primaried.

The guy was indicted years ago over failure to register as a Securities Advisor with the Texas Securities Board. He made a specific investment to a client which he had an interest which required him to pay I think $35 dollars for the license. If he had not made a specific investment he would have been covered with his law license. He has been hated from the day he took office as he was a TEA party pick. (remind you of anyone else?)

My liberal and progressive brethren all upset, as they think Rusty Hardin is not doing a good enough job to get rid of him. Mr Hardin is one of the best lawyers in the state, and frankly if he can’t make the case there’s not one.

Paxton also called for the House Speaker to resign as it appeared that the speaker might have been intoxicated during a session which is grounds for automatic removal under Texas law.

So my thoughts after a day of watching rugby and eating red meat and reading posts about sensible immigration policies to the US etc...

Ukraine: We all seem to agree that a negotiated settlement will be the end even if we all actually want the Russian's soundly beaten and returned to their shithole country. The sticking point always seems to be Crimea and it is always left under the status "to me determined in the future"... solution for the day: Return to the traditional owners, the Tartars, placed under NATO / UN rule until they are in a position to control their own country and future. The rest of Ukraine to be returned to Ukraine.

Pie in the sky thinking on Africa: There are probably 5-6 million European Africans from Cape to Cairo. If you can trace your lineage back to Holland, UK, France etc then you have 1-2 years to return. Thereafter nothing is given to Africa. No aid, not investment. No medical. Nothing. Only guns and bullets. It would only take a decade for complete collapse and reduction of 72.3% of the population and thereafter investment based to rational thinking and future democratic laws and norms.

Sucks for us that own farms, property companies etc but compensation could worked out.

Agreed. Noam has a bright enough future on her own merit. Becoming Trump’s running mate will make for a formidable combination. But it could end up either making or breaking Noam’s career.

Maybe, just maybe, she's one of us that is willing to risk a long term job for actually doing what is right and what she believes in. I hope so.

Definitely women in them and I am sure Noem will help with those States. There just isn't a local to help carry a single state or region. Trump already has SD in the bag.

Agreed. VP picks are designed to help the ticket. SD is in no danger going blue and I am fairly certain the typical urban soccer mom won’t see much in common with her.

I agree with Tucker on an issue. Donald Trump represents something that terrifies the left. They have spent the last 7 years trying to bring him down.
Will the deep state/ shadow government assassinate Trump, before letting him become President again?
Tucker seems to think so, and considering how radical the left has become, it is not as far fetched as you might think.

Unless Trump is somehow disqualified from running, it is a near certainty at this point he will be the GOP candidate for 2024. Love it or hate it, it's the most likely scenario.

I would like to see DeSantis or another "next in line" candidate make a bid to be Trumps VP. We know it won't be Pence again. Would be best to get a strong VP that can make a run at 2028 & beyond. Perhaps that could be Noem.
