At this point it will be interesting to see if the judgement against Trump moves the needle much. For many voters a judgement and the other prosecutions will make them support Trump even more. There could be a nudge up for DeSantis in the next week or so, but this time next month Trump will probably still have a strong lead.

There are more trials, lawsuits, interrogatories, depositions and prosecutions coming. I have a feeling they will galvanize support behind Trump through the primaries.

For Trump to loose the primary he will have to self destruct in some way. The attacks against him only make him stronger.

The problem with Trump is he is not a Reagan Conservative. He fails the first rule: "Never speak ill of another conservative".

In the primary, Trump will skewer and destroy the field, causing more long-term harm to the party and its principles via his "cult of personality" strategy. Thus, even if he is made unable to run or is deemed unelectable by any future indictments, there will be no person left standing, dignity intact, to compete against a democrat nominee.

America has played stupid games, we now win stupid prizes. We will have Trump or Biden, likely the latter, as a consequence.

Those who favor a negotiated settlement to the Ukraine war, curtailment of the alphabet agencies whose main activity is suppressing "White Supremist or moving the US back into a dominant position in the petroleum market will suffer relentless barrages to prevent their nomination or if the candidate, their victory. While I agree with you that Trump is the R nominee. I disagree about Biden, despite the DNC best efforts to fix the primary for him. RFK, Jr, is getting worked over and won’t make it. However, Nancy P’s nephew, Gavin Newsom is the most likely democrat candidate and the press will never touch him. The “New Camelot”.

But again it does not matter who the R is, unless Ronna gets off her ass and starts working on vote harvesting where legal, it’s over.
