Please suggest a destination for a fairly unusual hunt...

For that sort of experience, I would stay away from any of the lodges and the high fences. I am going back to Mozambique for the second time to hunt with Grant Taylor and Mashambanzou Safaries http://www.mashambanzousafaris.com/. He has great buffalo, eland, and sable along with a lot of the smaller species (best chance for a huge Livingston eland is fall rather than summer). It is coastal equatorial forest which makes it a unique environment in Eastern Africa. Depending on buffalo movement and time of year you may hunt them along the forest boundaries are deep in the Zambezi Delta. And though Mozambique may not be the actual end of the world, one does not have to get on a high place to see it from there. It is very old school. My tracker for the two-week hunt insisted on calling me "master" for the duration.

Flown into Saskatoon half a dozen times over the last ten years to hunt geese and ducks. Fabulous shooting.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
