Speaking of men’s underwear - Saxx underwear

I got them for my Australian NT hunt and now they are all I wear.
You must be some sight in the mall !

So for the last 2 years i have used some cheap Temu camo cargo pants and some "tactical shirts" like what the seals wear in the movies, apparently the shirts don't look the same on me according to the wife. the pants and shirts worked very well for the 4 hunts I have been on, and no damage yet. i like the fact that the shirt sleeves are like almost a very thin canvas type material, and I think they might be waterproof to an extent, and the body is nice and snug and warm.
for under $25 a set, I will get another few sets for sure.
Things to keep in mind are the legality of camouflage is questionable in some countries. I personally favor the dark gray/green/tan canvas shirt with a similar color short that hits above the knee.

And some countries/airlines require ammo be packed in factory boxes I believe.

Yes I am local, and the type of camo we wear is like Boots and Stetsons in the states, it is like our National Stepping out gear :A Camping:.
It is not military camo, but like your Real tree or Mossey oak that they use on Bows.

Sorry what to bring to Africa to be comfortable

Comfortable neutral color clothing that you can layer, great walking shoes & socks, hat, sunglasses, chapstick, a sling to shoulder your rifle on long stalks and good strong legs!

Most everything else you can get by without or your PH will cover for you.

For me, less is more.

My parents took our boys, and my two nephews (then all between the ages of 9 & 12) to South Africa to visit friends and then go on to a Safari w/ the kids. The boys are all in their mid to late 20's now and they STILL talk about that trip!
So while I have not personally done this trip (yet) it was a highlight of my sons & nephew's youth and I'm sure your family will have a blast!

I had listed my standard packing spreadsheet in the past. Here it is again.

This last one is preparedness list and depending on the country it might have some minor changes.

Nice!

I really don’t know what anyone else’s idea of comfort is. Your travel there and back will be the most “uncomfortable” part of the trip, IMO. International travel has become a PITA nightmare. Use a travel agent who does Africa hunting. While there I assume you’ll be in at least a tented camp with all amenities or likely better. Don't over pack and Don’t over think it!

I used to make a simple handwritten list as I got ready, then while packing, checked the list so I wouldn’t forget something important. Most trips I don’t even make a list, yet some need a spreadsheet to take a dump??? ;) I pack for these type trips no earlier than a day or two before departure. Boots that fit and are broken in for walking, socks, underwear, shirts, pants, hat (cotton is king for most clothing), light weight leather gloves, light-med jacket, small flashlight, medicine if on the “pharma”. Ask outfitter about tsetse flies and ticks and suggestions for mitigation if expected. KISS applies. Don't overthink it,

I take multiple international trips each year and experience has shown me that it hurts my pocketbook if I wing it. On the last trip this past September I thought I packed everything (no new list this time). Well, realized that I had left behind a suit that I needed for my birthday dinner at a Michelin star restaurant that my kids were taking me. So, had to buy a new one locally, an $X K mistake. On the positive side I will put it in rotation for the next few years. I knew better, but used the list from an earlier trip for it rather than tailoring it for this event.
