Planning a new adventure in SA

Welcome to AH.

What are you interested in hunting?

Welcome to AH Suzie!

Welcome I think you will find hunting SA to be as good as ever and a buyers market right now still. Many great outfits to pick from and so many great animals to go after. Good luck in your search and enjoy the site.

Welcome to the community Suzie. Best wishes planning & hunting in next August.

Hello Suzie and Welcome!

You will have no problem with getting lots of knowledgeable advice here. Can you be more elaborate as to what you are looking for on your next safari? Different species, different location, plainsgame, dangerous game, rifle hunting, bow hunting, family safari, etc...?

August 2017 is doable, but that it peak season in most locations. I would get busy in your research and planning.

Welcome aboard! Always exhilarating to step foot in Africa a second, third, fourth time etc! Best of luck in planning

Welcome to AH!

Welcome to AH. Lots of great outfitters here to help you with the hunting adventure. My advice is get there as fast as you can, stay as long as you can, and harvest as many trophies as you can. Have the time of your life!

Hi. Thanks
Sadly August is the only time I have. Well actually last week of July till back end of August.
Work gets in the way any other time
Not sure what I want to hunt. Last hunt I had a beautiful Kudu. Blesbok and Boar
Definitely want a nice Imparla the rest I've not a clue
Heading to Pretoria. Then KN Possibly Pietermaritzburg.

There are some good deals out there. This safari season was a little slow for many Africa outfitters. Politics in the USA has slowed some hunters. The large drop in oil has affected many others. So many places have some great deals to fill their calender's and take off the animals that they need to. Some areas of RSA and Namibia have had some drought for a couple of yrs. Then they need to feed or take off extra animals. All in all its a good time to go. Good luck. Bruce

Welcome Suzanne!

Welcome to our site. You sure came to the right place to obtain answers about hunting in Africa!

I went this past august- end of the month into sept. I changed my plans at the beginning of August to a different outfitter and had no problem getting in. I wouldn't suggest waiting that long but I don't think there is a huge rush to get booked right off. It seemed like a great time of year to me and I had a blast. Good luck, hope you have a great hunt!

welcome suzanne, good to see another woman joining the site.they make good hunters, and very good shots,my wife out shoot me all the time.
