My wife and I went up to pick my kudu and impala up as well as my skins and horns.
It has been a very frustrating time with covid making it near impossible to get anything out of Namibia as well as the covid restrictions within Australia. Even tho I have it all now the budget blew out on transport supposedly because of covid,up over 500% but that's life.
It was well worth the wait. These animals to me mean a lot as it was a dream come true to hunt Africa. These are my mounts and a good representation of the game we hunted. Are they record breaking, NO WAY but the broke the record of memorable hunts I have had in my life. When I picked them up all the memories of Namibia come flooding back.

My impala that is now mounted on our bedroom wall.

My wife and I wish my Kudu yet to go on the wall.

My taxidermist Markus from Down Under Taxidermy.
My wife now thinks when we are laying in be instead of looking into her eyes I will lie and say yes but reckons I will be looking into the eyes of the Kudu dreaming of Africa. Ha ha ha ha. I told her I wouldn't do that.

Nice animals! Your taxidermist looks to have done a very good job.

Had to fill out the shipping froms for the mounts a few weeks ago. I am not looking forward to the shipping costs.

Awesome Bob! In my opinion, your absolutely right about hunting trophies. They ARE in the eye and more importantly the mind (memories) of the hunter who took them and the hunt itself whence they were taken. Congrats Bob!

Our memories, Bob, that´s what non hunters don´t understand when they see our trophies.

Congratulations, they look great :D Cheers:

Well it’s a great day down under. Congrats on getting things home!

Well done on the mounts, Bob. Reminds me of what another Bob used to sing: Thanks for the memories....

It’s better than Christmas!!!! Congrats. My crate just took off from jberg. I’ll be posting soon too
@Still alive
Half the fun is unboxing. The other half is working out where to put everything.

@Bob Nelson 35Whelen , you should work out where to put your trophies before the hunt !

When my wife sees me walking around the house with a tape measure in hand, she figures I am up to something :W A Rifle:

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
