Personal Introduction

Thank you so much and much appreciated. Yes in did, Zambia is a beautiful country and I look forward to your return soon and hopefully in the near future we can hunt together. When were you last in Zambia, which hunting area were you hunting and what animals did you hunt?

Welcome aboard Miyanda, it sounds like you have a "plan" for your life, and have already started executing it. Good luck in all of your future endeavors.
Thank you shootist much appreciated. I look forward to the future and participating in encouraging more and more of the younger generation to get involved in sport hunting accross the globe. Statistics currently show that majority of the hunters coming to Africa on hunting safaris are between 50 & 75.

We need more hunters from the younger generation to get involved.

Thank you.

Thank you Captain Munroe.
How often do come to Africa for safari hunting? What are the most fascinating things you look forward to on your safari and what dangerous game animals have you hunted?
Sadly, I have never been to Africa. My goal, and one of the reasons I am on here, is to indeed go to Africa for a safari (photo or otherwise). I would like an authentic, old school style hunt, if I was going to do one, and would pursue the Cape Buffalo. I am also an amateur writer and would like to churn out a novel or short story involving safari hunters/hunting and this seemed as good a place as any in which to gather information. Finally, I love the history of African exploration and hunting and the guns used therein. Big bore doubles and bolt guns are awesome!

Miyanda, your reference to the ages of folks hunting in Africa being 50 to 75 is spot on. For most of us, that is when we can afford it. Prior to that timeframe in our lives, we are busy paying for other obligations. For most first-time hunters it is either a "Bucket List item" or a "Retirement Gift" to ourselves.

Welcome on board. I look forward to your insights on hunting and Zambia. Thank you for joining.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
