jeff that is true most times but like the post pieter did above the hunter was doing what pieter thought was right.Thats why pieter took it on his own to give another at no cost.

If a guy want to not agree with a ph and think it is what he wants then it is on him.If it is a mistake the hunter and the ph make then a reduce price would work.

I just know pieter wants the hunter to be happy and will own a mistake if he makes it.

The hunter has some responsabilty as they were the one that shot, some outfits compromise and only charge the hunter a management animal price on mistakes and that seems fair as a animal was taken.

Jeff, the outfitters I worked with before I went on my own always had a rule "if your client takes a sub standard animal you pay it". The lesson to this is never over promise, go for old mature trophies and not inches and you will always be there or thereabout.

Yup I would have lost a bet on that wildbeast.Still one of the heaviest bossed bulls I have seen.Have seen wider but not near as heavy.

After thinking about it I should have got to take another giraffe.He was on the small side.LOL We all just talked about that gaint giraffe over xmas dinner again.That all happened so fast but lenny and dakota still give me a hard time because it looks like I was running away from it to get more ammo.

For some reasom I dont remember you jumping in front of that giraffe to protect me.Go figure my kid stands his ground with a charging lioness and I run from a giraffe.That video make me look bad that day for sure.

Jeff that is so true.We had a great hunt but still talk as much about shooting our bows at lunch time.The bow shooting contest we would have were classics.WE had so much fun watching guys load and shoot the crossbow we had with to.Plus watching john the other PH launching arrows ever where but the target after telling us he could shoot a bow.

We even had time to let pieter try his hand on a bow hunt.Was so cool watching pieter get so in to the bow hunting.For a man who has taken or guided as many of the big 5 as he has and to listen to what we had to say.Well it showed he wanted to still learn all he could from anyone who could help him learn something.To many guys think they can learn nothing more and I myself learn something each time I get out to hunt.

You will have alot of fun and see some great animals to try for.So the best of both will be waiting for you.
