I'm an experienced hunter, with 14 safaris completed, but looking for something a bit different. I have a group of 4-5 hunters, none of whom have hunted in Africa before, and they are looking for a plains game package- usual first time species (blesbok, impala, wildebeest, kudu etc), and wondering whether PHs on the group can put something together.

You haven't said where you are interested going, but i'm going to assume it's probably south Africa. If so, we have several great sponsors on here. I have hunted with JKO safaris and Game 4 Africa and could recommend both for a small group of plains game hunters. I'm sure there are others as well.

Hello! Mpeti Safaris Outfitter can work with you to provide a custom package for your group. I have sent a direct message to you.

Thank you,
Conrad

I hunted with Frontier Safaries north of Port Elizabeth a couple years ago. They offer a number of packages for plains game. I did their 10 day 12 animal, which is the best deal but they also offer a 7 day one.

Good day sir, we have great plainsgame deals available for 2025 season. Will send you a Private Message.
Kind regards
Derian

@JKO HUNTING SAFARIS can accommodate your group and on properties large enough to give your group each plenty of room to hunt. Please PM me any questions you may have and any additional information you have regarding dates and any other specific animals your group is interested in.

Dear @ranger92xi

We would be delighted to assist you in planning a high-quality plains game experience tailored specifically for first-time African hunters. Whether your group is looking for the classic first-time species — such as impala, blesbok, blue wildebeest, kudu, and more — or wants to include a few unique additions, we can build a package that suits both preferences and budget.

Depending on the type of terrain and hunting style you and your group prefer, we can arrange the hunt in either the Northern Cape or Limpopo Province. Each area offers its own distinct advantages:

  • The Northern Cape offers vast open spaces, excellent visibility, and ideal conditions for longer-range shooting.
  • Limpopo Province provides classic bushveld hunting with a rich diversity of species and more traditional walk-and-stalk opportunities.

I'll drop you a dm with more detailed info.
Regards
Sampie

I'm curious, why have you not contacted one of the outfits that you have previously hunted with?

Good Day Sir

Tsala Safaris would gladly assist with getting a package together that will work for your group.

You are most welcome to contact us for any information and to help put this together.

Regards

Rouan

Hi Sir

I see one of the members did recommend us. We have a fantastic first timer package on our wesbite. Only 4500 for 5 animals, 7 days. 2x1. Let me know if you are interested.
See link to package deal https://game4africa.co.za/hunting-packages/kudu-plains-game-hunting-package/

Most reputable PHs can absolutely put something like this together, and it’s actually a great way to introduce first-timers to Africa. A plains game package with common species like impala, blesbok, wildebeest, and kudu is pretty standard and easy to tailor to a mixed group.
I’d suggest looking for an outfitter who’s comfortable running a true group hunt — flexible pacing, good communication, and enough staff so the new hunters don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed. South Africa and Namibia are especially well suited for first-timers in a group setting.

I agree with the advice above. This kind of group setup works very well for first-time Africa hunters, especially when the species list is focused on classic plains game. Most established outfitters are used to tailoring packages like this and can balance expectations within the group.
Having enough PHs and trackers is key so everyone gets quality time in the field without pressure. With your experience guiding expectations, and the right outfitter, this should be an excellent introduction to Africa for them.

hi sir

welcome welcome welcome

this is what we do, we specialise in groups and most of the hunts we do throughout the season are from 1 hunter up to 7 or 8
