Hey everybody,
I am looking to book a hunt in Namibia, any recommendations on outfitters ?
There will be atleast me and another hunter.
I have only been to SA and this will be my first time to Namibia, so any input will be helpful.
Thanks!

I know it's bad isn't it. I have mounted alot of trophies taken in Namibia but have never hunted there ! I finally decided its time I go there & expirience it first hand for myself !!

Heath,

A mate and I hunted in Namibia in September last year. It was the first hunting trip to Africa for both of us.

We hunted with Arno Schulz of La Bips safaris La Bips Safaris and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome and the overall experience.
The number and quality of animals on his concessions are excellent, his attention to detail likewise. The accomodation and food were both very good, absolutely no complaints about the whole trip from either of us.

John

+1, johnfox for the recommendation, I have never heard of them, but their website is super! Rates are not bad....great referrence!

i am currently doing some research on Namibia, and plan to go in 2013. This and next year are taken care of.

The question becomes what are you looking for.

The northern area is known for it's large Kudu.

The strip has its own set of adventures.

The country has a good road system, however you could be in for a bush flight on the booking you select.

I have sent you a PM

Thank you

Gert van der Walt

Nice website, a lot of useful information. The pictures definitely bring good memories of Namibia back to me. Love the kudu pictures!!!

I too would highly recommend Ozondjahe Safaris. I hunted with them in 2007 for plains game and leopard. My PH was Andes Smit at that time and he provided me the opportunity to harvest some excellent trophies. If you have the time a trip up to Etosha National Park is well worth while and may afford the chance to see all of the Big Five.

If you do make the trip and use an outfitter make sure to let us know how it turns out; Ozondjahe Safaris is who I've "heard" good things about from other AH members.

Thanks for all the input ! I am checking out everyones recommendations right now.

I have hunted with HuntAfrica Namibia twice for plains game and dangerous game and I would strongly recommend them.

Agarob Hunting Safaris Hunting experience on Horse-Back
I hunted with Johnny in 2009 and have a return planned for next year. He has a very unique horseback hunting exp. Mind you can also hunt by vehicle and spot and stalk but the horseback hunts are pretty incredible. Taking a 7x57 on this next trip.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
