The hunting season is in full swing here at TallyHo, we thought we would just post a bit of an update of our hosting so far...

We have had the honour of hosting quite a few international friends along with our south African friends that join us every year. Some highlights thus far; our new tracking dog Livingston has earned her stripes and shown us that she definitely has what it takes, a one horned oryx harvested by a friend from Poland, steenbok and duiker seem to be high on hunters' lists this year, another Polish friend harvested a white blesbok with a brown patch on its shoulder (what a beautiful coat it had), some beautiful kudus were harvested (man they make for a real tough but rewarding hunt), a beautiful sable bull was harvested by our American friend on his first safari to Africa, he also managed to harvest a 37 inch oryx bull.

We are blessed to still have a long season ahead of us, and we look forward to hosting each and every one still to come, thank you to all of the hunters that have chosen us to be apart of making their South African safari dreams come true, we truly hope to see you all back again next year !
Happy Hunting everyone, and best of luck for the rest of the season !

Beautiful pictures of beautiful trophies and also of the culinary offer, but unfortunately you cannot lure hunters like me with the latter because, with my 65kg for 1,75m tall, I don't care much about food. The main purpose of eating is to gain energy in order to perform, among other things for hunting game. Nevertheless, I understand your efforts to attract clients.

Congrats to all the hunters so far, thanks for sharing!

Looks like a great start to the season! thank you for posting pictures. Hopefully folks post some hunt reports from their hunts.

Sorry you dont see food the same way most others do
We take pride in offering our hunters a few little luxuries like great food and i guarentee they appreciate it and most compliment us on the meals we prepare for them

Cuisine plays a vital role in the overall experience of the safari, if you eat shitty food you definitely wont want to return ‍♀️ but if the food is great we wont be ruled out as an option for a return safari

Our hunting is not bad too btw
So if you want to come and have a great hunt pls let me know so i can give the chef week off

Great Start! Thank You for sharing

BIGGEST KUDU SHOT SO FAR THIS SEASON AT TALLYHO

Kudu, the most elusive species known to hunters. One minute you see them, the next minute they just disappear into the bush never to be seen again. They always make for a really tough but rewarding hunt. Hunting a kudu is an experience not easily forgotten. With some really steady careful steps and a whole lot of luck a Polish hunter harvested the biggest Kudu on Tallyho to date, an astounding 62"
A very Well done to his PH for getting him there
May you never forget about this experience Machiek

Wow very deep curls on that kudu bull well done to all.

Jees tough crowd

One comment on a 60+” kudu

Its being officially measured by taxidermist and i suspect it will come out around 64”

Not that tough a crowd we just haven't had enough coffee to get all the brain cells moving:A Bonk:

I would shoot that kudu every day of the week and twice on sunday. The deep curls are what makes him.

Congratz to the hunter and PH.

I'll give you some Love Stu. :D

Amazing bull! Once in a lifetime.

Some good trophies there mature kudu bulls, The veldt is looking dry for this time of the year Stuart?

I had an excellent opportunity to shoot a kudu bull just by pure luck when I hunted with Tally-ho in April but my budget didn´t quite allow for it despite Rudi´s best attempts to convince me that it could. I´m sure it´ll take a lot more work when I return with more money in the future but that´s all part of the game. I´ts nice to see to see that it was a Polish guy that shot it because Rudi made it abundantly clear how much those guys like big kudu bulls when we looked at that one:ROFLMAO:

That excellent food was great for giving us enough energy to hunt all day. Coming back to camp really hungry after a long day of exciting hunting and adventures and being met with a dinner of that quality has to be one of the best feelings you can experience. One of the nights I asked the chef Karen what he had cooked for dinner to which he replied that he´d made beef Wellington. I thought he was joking because who cooks a beef Wellington out in the African bush but apperently he did and we were treated to an excellent one a short while later so that says something about the skills of that guy. I agree that good food isn´t the absolute highest priority for a hunt but it undeniably makes it a whole lot more enjoyable.

Stuart,

There is a hunter that is looking for a 60" kudu bull that I will get in contact with you told him he will need time and good amount of luck and come late season if he wants to do it this year still.
