I also got that age that my eyes don`t play along anymore,
Using the opensight without glasses is impossible, and hunting with glasses are filled with problems, dust, dirt swet and such things that make glasses mostly impossible to see thru.

I tryed different mounts on my 470 NE Krieghoff they did not manage the recoyl, so what do I do?

I contacted Krieghoff in Germany and they told me that they recomend Henneberg prisma mount on a Aimpoint micro. OK I found a dealer in Germany that have this type of mount and order one, 3 days later I got it.
A friend of mine also have the same mount on his 500 and it work perfect, easy on and off without doing anything with the point of impact.

It was also very easy to mount on the sight.

Finish mounted at the rifle.
On the shooting range I shot several doubleshots and the accuracy are fantastic, it doesent change anything and shooting groups with 1" spread using the 500 grs Woodleigh loaded to 2170 f/sec, he rifle is also regulated with this Bullettype with Norma factoryload, it seems that this is the load for my rifle.

I also tryed this mount on my Merkel doublerifle drilling, who has the same base and diameter of the plate, it fits perfectly.

I ordered my mount in Germany at this company:

If you guys don't get this in your country, try this.

I can shoot on "long" range with this sight and it`s very accurate.

Glad to hear this works for you.
"One size fits all" may not work for all rifles or all shooters.

My favorite DR scope mount has the Talley Quick Detachable compatible grooves machined into the rear rib. This provides a low scope mount that is compatible with the same comb height as for the express sights AND the Talley peep sight.

Peep Sight in place:

I love that peep site on your DR, gives me ideas for mine as I'm not very fond of my merkel sights

This Talley peep line of sight is through the wide V of the rear blade of the express sight! Imagine my smile when the first shot with peep mounted at 100 yards was in the target X ring! :A Big Hello:

@crs did you have someone mill the side of your rib for that peep sight, it's a bit hard to tell from the pic

The rear rib was milled for Talley QD rings before installation. Here is a picture that shows all:

At mid rib are the front ring millings and the rear ones are at the rear of the rib.
Simply place scope with rings with ring clamps in the slots,
Slide forward to end of slots,
Rotate clamp levers clockwise to right and they are locked on.
Pix of mounted scope and of mounted peep sight are back a few posts.

What type of sight on a double is a question I will never seriously ask myself, but if I did this is the way I would go.

Who did you get to do the mill work, if I may ask?

Old post, but if anyone is awake at this time, please can you tell me the width of that RMR Mounting plate at the rear of the rib? Many thanks.

Hi kevin, i know what your getting at, but it is goinh to be to high. I have one and tried on.

And also please the width of the rib itself on the Kreighoff. Thanks.

Kevin,

Do you realize you are interrupting my morning coffee? :)
But because you are so helpful to all AH'er I will do the same...

The photo is of the mounting plate width measured in millimeters.
The rib width was approximately .003 mm less.

I used a cheap electronic caliper but you should get the idea.
A micrometer would provide more exact measurement but my coffee is waiting!

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

X5i scope is perfect - thanks for an easy transaction! Buy with confidence.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
