Opinion on Hoyt Carbon Defiant 31

I agree 100%, but they said because the carbons are carried over to 2017 because of the timing issues. They said because of that, the color and 80 lb limbs. He said it might take shorter but that is what I was told. Hope its less, but my hunt won't be till April of 18 for Africa!

Well best of lucky with Africa, what are you hunting

Probably not many of that color or lbs, so not surprising. Plenty of time, good choice to get exactly what you wanted!

I shot some tonight (deer season is here!) with my old 2007 diamond black ice. I have the itch though and I am thinking of going to the ATA show in Feb in Indianapolis and looking at the 2017 new bows that come out. I held off this year.

Getting older though and will drop down to a max of 65 or 60. Still at 70 lbs now but as I buy for 10 years, I need to move down so I can enjoy for the long haul.

As Ted would say, I truly enjoy the "mystical flight of the arrow"

Both are great bows.
It will depend in how you feel after shooting them
Hoyt is very hard to beat, I had been shooting an alphamax and now a Defiant and it will be very hard to find a better bow that this one

Final setup! Hoyt Defiant 30, 55-65#, 28" draw. Now time for the accessories, we got a cobra bushwacker 4 pin all steel sight, fuse vector 4 arrow quiver loaded with Carbon Express Maxima reds 125 grain G5 montecs totalling at 410 grains. The stabilizer is a fuse intrepid 6" 5oz, and the standard whisker biscket. Thanks for all of your advise on this thread it made everything easier. (Notice the Hoyt quick fletches on the arrows )View attachment 159656
