One rifle to do it all

I would have to throw .284 Winchester in the mix. With good hand loads it will do almost everything a 7 Rem Mag will do.
 
If Alaska and Africa are the focus areas, can you narrow down what most of your hunting pursuits would be? “Dangerous” game or “plains” game? I use to quotes as a way to also referring to Alaskan game in similar categories as African.

I like the 338 win mag idea. But could also see 375+ or 300wm being good choices depending on what time you would spend hunting different size critters.

MT grizzly encounter,
a hot springs (do you have good spots ?)
Looking to buy a 375 H&H or .416 Rem Mag if anyone has anything they want to let go of
