Numzaan Safaris

To all the gentlemen who took the time to reply to my thread, thank you. Also thank you for welcoming us to the Africa Hunting forum. I promise to be more personable in the future. I was only quoting our website. As you all know you can be very intimidating at times and I hope that you will be more excepting of my post in future..... Luckily I have Stef as back-up and he will save me when I come short.

I hope you all have a good week-end and happy hunting
Jana

Welcome to AH to you as well Jana!hope you enjoy it here.

Thank you, hope to see you on this side of the pond one of these days.

Jana, please do feel free to make your own account with your own signature. That way we know who we are talking to at any point in time.
Look forward to your participation.

Welcome to the forum, Jana and Stef !

You have the price correct. $9300 would be wonderful price to get, but not realistic.
Please come and intreduce yourself next time.

Stef

.... $9300 would be wonderful price to get, but not realistic.

Stef

Confused??? If it is not realistic why would you have it on your price list?

So am I, not sure how you get $9300?
Stef

Ok, i'll give it a whirl.

Price list from the web site (perhaps it is an misprint error or we have the wrong web site)
Numzaan Safaris

I think this is how the number must have been determined (from the web site):
Plains Game

Plains Game
PER PERSON PER DAY.
1 Client + 1 Professional Hunter .......................... $450
Day of Arrival ........................................................ $180
Day of Departure ...................................................$180

Name
Kudu - Southern > 55

Description
10 Days Minimum

Price
4882,00 $

Original Calculation (I assume):
10 days hunting $4500.00
Trophy Fee $4882.00
Total: $9382.00

Maybe another way to calculate this:
2x180 $360.00
8X450 $3600.00
Trophy Fee $4882.00
Total $8842.00

Is this right?

I think you are correct.
Very few clients come over for just a Kudu alone.  The ones we had over the years have been here a number of times and were after a 60"+ and had no problem with the fees, especially after they got what they came for. We as a group decided a number of years ago that quality is more important that quantity. We put a min days requirement on our animals. This way we have less hunting pressure one of the most beautiful and graceful antelopes of Africa. We need to preserve quality.

If you woke up is a good day

I see nothing wrong with your offer on a 10 day kudu hunt for about $9400. More than a few outfitters have been offering this kind of action for years now. It product of quality kudu.

Stef, thanks for explaining.

Hi Stef my thing is not just the price alone even though I think it's a little high if they want to pay it more power to them the thing I'm getting at is how you have it listed it tells us little guys we're not wanted there just the big money guys and gals i.e. I book a 5 day plains game hunt plane leaves on the morning of the 6th day and I have to be on it, while hunting the PH and I spot a Monster Kudu >55+ the kudu of my dreams ah but I'm only on a 5 day hunt here would be my choices 1. let the Kudu Go. 2. Take the Kudu and pay for 5 days that I'm not going to be there. or the most likely choice 3. Look elsewhere no need booking with this guy. Thanks Bob

Good Morning x84958
I have read your post about Jamy Traut and your hunt in Caprivi. I am planning such a hunt for 2026, Oct with Jamy.
Just a question , because I will combine Caprivi and Panorama for PG, is the daily rate the same the week long, I mean the one for Caprivi or when in Panorama it will be a PG rate ?
thank you and congrats for your story.
Best regards
Philippe from France

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe
