First, SCI Convention in Nashville, Tennessee - January 24 - 25, 2025.

Then, Alaska - Brooks Range, dahl sheep - August 9, 2025.

Then, LDE & buffalo - 2026, Cameroon.

Then “possibly” another return to the African jungles of Cameroon or CAR for another bongo and forest buffalo. I love the jungle - extremely harsh environment but truly wild. Nothing easy there…

I finally booked my dream hunt in the Selous for a male lion! Leave in June, if everything goes as planned rhino would be the only animal left to complete the big 5. I am also hoping to get another leopard which will just be a huge bonus.
As for my Rhino I promised my self I will never hunt an animal in a high fence again. So I came up with the genius idea of having my 6 year old shoot it. We are still practicing with a 308 hopefully by 2026 he will be ready to move to higher caliber snd I’ll book the rhino hunt to complete my big 5!
Then I must start my journey to Alaska starting with a brown bear in Kodiak island! @Scott CWO I may need your help booking that hunt for 2027.

As for brown bear, I prefer to guide/hunt the AK Peninsula on controlled, exclusive, large federal permit land areas over hunting Kodiak. Even the best areas on Kodiak are much smaller and limiting, usually one valley. On the AK Peninsula, you can be moved to completely new locations many miles away if your hunt is slow. Generally, Kodiak doesn’t offer as much flexibility.

I also recommend the spring season versus fall season because the bears are hungry after hibernation, the rut is on and the weather is improving. The fall hunts can be good but the big boars are much more nocturnal and lazy after eating salmon all summer, there’s no rut and the weather is deteriorating. The overall size of the boars harvested in the fall is smaller than in the spring. Just my .02 cents so do what you want.

July 2025 I’m booked and paid for 10 days in Zambia primarily looking for Sable and Lechwe. Hopefully luck is on my side in the US Draws as well. Planning on inking a contract and putting a deposit down for a Dall Sheep Hunt during the next 4 years as well. Selling a few things off to help fund it.
