I'll be hunting near Thabazimbi, Limpopo next week. I've been watching the weather there and especially the highs for the day.

Does it really hit the upper 80s and low 90s as predicted or is this abnormally warm? I guess I'm not used to seeing those kind of temperatures for the equivalent of the Northern Hemisphere's February going into March.

We were there a month ago and it was 45-85 every day. My forecast is showing upper 50's to high 80's the next couple of weeks and very low humidity. If you are up in the Waterberg mountains, it might be a little cooler. Dress in layers.

Who are you hunting with?

It can start to warm up toward the end of August. Remember, you are much closer to the equator than in the states.

It can get there during the heat of the day, but because of the dry air, it can get cool at night and in the mornings.

This time of year, take and use layers.

There were several days that I started out with a waterproof/windproof coat and fleece jacket, but shredded layers until I ended up in a T-shirt and wearing shorts.

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe
