I found this place via Ammoseek. Bought a case (200 rounds) of Norma 6.5x55 140 gr Partition SP for $245 plus $25 for shipping. Pretty good price for quality brass and bullet. Fairly quick shipping too.

Rivertown Munitions also had Norma ammo in several other calibers.

Incredible price really. New brass was over $50 per 50 count on Normashooting.com. This makes for an outstanding deal on factory ammo. Thanks for posting @375 Ruger Fan

Nice price,

My brother has taken possession of a 6.5x55 an ever looking for good brass in Australia as we can't mail ammo easily

That's good velocity for store bought ammo in 6.5 Swede. Much better than the Winchester 140 gr ammo at 2550 fps.

Pffft, Winchester chronos at 2353fps average from 14 shots in my rifle.
Tepid.

A Partition over 2600fps will be the perfect do anything load, wish I could get a good steady supply of the 140gr Partition.

I complain about the velocity of the Winchester, but everything I’ve shot with it dies quickly. Lol

Why am I tempted to purchase a case, even though I don't own a 6.5x55?
It makes really great bait. Buy a case and chances are you will own a gun in that caliber in short order;)

Yes, I do believe I hear the not so quiet voice of experience, Bob.:)

I will admit I may have had a "few" cases of 28 gauge shells before I ever owned any shotguns so chambered. That's the only time I'll fess up to such shenanigans, though....

I'm really kicking myself for not having bought one of the Ruger Africans in 6.5x55 when they were released. It would be a nice pairing with my African 9.3x62.

@Marc Ret Are you in the market for the ruger african 6.5x55? I have one I might be willing to part with.

I would like to be but any gun purchases are on hold till I get my health sorted out. I do greatly appreciate you making the offer, VonJager. Thank you.

I just combed the same website looking for other “deals”. They have case lots of Norma 30-06, 270, and 300 win mag at one I find to be very good deals. Roughly the price of the brass.

Why yes, yes they are.

Stumbled onto this deal the other day from another site/thread.

Had been looking for same C.I.P. loaded SP ammo for a while, as PPU/FMJ was about all that was available when the rifle was acquired, and have been disassembling it at the range to harvest the brass.

.264"/140 gr. NP at ~ 2700 fps. is a very nice field load, especially at what is essentially component cost.

Difficult not ordering another case.

Surprisingly, here in MAY23, Rivertown Munitions still has this ammo available, for the same price.

Buoyed against Nosler's recent price increases and availability, this ammo should be even more attractive.

Rivertown Munitions must have taken a conex box of this ammo on liquidation.

Outstanding product.

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe
