How many spotted hyena tags do you get and what’s your success rate? How long do those hunts typically last? Is 5 days enough time?

We have 6 Spotted Hyena left for this year. We usually get between 12 and 18 every year in our area. Other outfitters also hunt with us. Our success rate on Hyena is 100% so far… we have bait spots we maintain right through the year. This also gives us high success rates on the other nocturnal species.

We usually get them on day 1 or 2, and we rotate our spots often. I believe 5days would be enough time, you will most definitely see bush pig, honey badger, civet etc too. But we apply for all possible permits so that if you see something else you would like to harvest then the opportunity is there for you to take it.
