No more Yeti's for me

For his well rounded vegetable platter?

More like his smart ass skills exceed my own, and I do think I'm fairly talented.

Phil,
You are selling yourself short, you are exceptional at it!

Check out South Jetty coolers. Also a Houston company same roto mold cooler as everyone else but much cheaper and free shipping. Not affiliated but I’ve bought a couple of their coolers and they work great.

I was just about to buy a Yeti waterproof bag, problem is no one else makes one that’s even close....

Went to South Jetty to compare their 60l to the Rtic 65qt.

The South Jetty weight 24.3 lbs and costs $220.

The Rtic weighs 36.5 lbs and costs $191.99.

If light weight is what you are after, the South Jetty might be the ticket.

I am wondering how the South Jetty compares structurally, being it is so much lighter?

Have had mine a few years with zero issues. One went under the leaning post on the boat and got beaten up constantly, no warped lid, hardware stayed in place and the feet are non marking.

Looks like YETI is still getting lit up on Facebook. I guess their corporate masters in New York have been busy today on how to deal with the PR disaster tomorrow.

JUST SENT MY EMAIL TO YETI CORPORATE,

"I (we)just found out this morning about your hilarious decision concerning the N.R.A and our 2nd amendment rights, We are part owners in a rather large hunting club here in Utah, our Granddaughter bought a pink Tundra 50 as a replacement for one of the damaged cooler in a Blind, (the Ladies touch she called it) she was given the ok to by several more in different colors for some of the other 53 blinds we have, We will not need to register, her cooler or any other of your coolers in the future, yours was returned for a full refund today. Now we are looking at ORCA we have a few of their coolers and they work AWESOME, Also we are now checking into RTIC products, we do not have any of their products yet, But it looks like we could have quite a few in the future,

You have made an extremely poor decision concerning your support base, it is not the Tree Huggers,or the vegetarians that buy your product to keep their celery and mineral water cold for days IT IS THE HUNTERS AND FISHERMEN"

SEND THEM SOME MORE COMMENTS..........

Well done @500 Nitro
I’ve emailed everyone in my personal address book and going to “coordinate” with folks I do business with tomorrow.
Sent the following earlier today:

To Yeti
As a Life Member of the National Rifle Association I am very disappointed to learn of your choice to decline doing business with the NRA and NRA Foundation.
Your message has been received loud and clear. You do not value me as a customer. Fair enough, that is your choice and I will respect that choice. I also have a choice. My choice will be to spend my money with your competitors who do value me as a customer and are not hostile to the NRA. I will also make a point of going out of my way to tell everyone I know about your position regarding the NRA and discourage them from purchasing any product bearing the Yeti brand.

To RTIC
I hope you are able to capitalize on the recent foolish decision by Yeti to alienate several million NRA members.
I think you are going to see a dramatic increase in business in the very near future and I wish you the best. You may want to consider a Corporate NRA membership if you are not already a corporate member :-)
Thanks for making great products and appreciating your customers.

Apparently they had already delayed the public offering due to "market conditions". It will be much uglier tomorrow.

I hope tomorrow is a special day indeed :sneaky:

One of my vendors sent out this to his thousands of clients! Way to go Tom!

Coleman has a less expensive product that is equal to or better than Yeti and I have used it for a few years. A friend ran across the Coleman when fishing on the gulf and became privy to a bit of marketing research showing the Coleman a better buy. He and I bought ours at the same time and mine has hauled a lot of food and game and his has hauled a lot of fish since then.

I agree with the previous statements about Yeti being a past fad; I think it has always been over sold and overpriced.

There is a video on YouTube of a guy cross-sectioning a Yeti and I think an Igloo. Once past the skin, there is not much difference. Lids have a little difference in thickness. I never did think Yeti were worth their prices. Stanley makes a great thermos (42 oz. I think). Hot coffee for two days. Lots of options.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
