With the unbearable Texas heat right now, it has chased me from my shop. Thus I decided to work on another bronze sculpture I’ve been thinking about. It is a replica of a cape buff bull I killed last year in Zim. It’s standing in shallow water about to head out, or at something . After taking a few pics last night, I see I still need to work on the ears and one hoof but it’s 95% done. It’s in clay and will have to be molded before a bronze can be poured.

Oops. picture got hung up on phone I guess. My cell service is crap today. I'll try again.

Just kidding. ;) Very much looking forward to seeing it.

That is awesome! I look forward to seeing it finished! You are talented Sir!

Fantastic!

This is talent in its purest form. Ever given any thought to making multiple to sell?
I would of course but this is only my sixth attempt. I don’t have much of a catalog :giggle:.

I appreciate the kind words and encouragement. It’s really a budding hobby at this point.

Thanks guys. I'm letting it sit a few more days to see if anything else hits me on it before I take it to be molded for the bronze process. I added texture to his nose and a few small wrinkles behind his nose pad. Also beefed up his upper lip line to give it more sag over the lower lip. A wise man once told me, "You have to live with it being finished at some point or it will never be finished" :)

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
