Newest Canadian PH in South Africa (make that Mozambique)

So how hard was it to get the PH license in Moz. You need to take another test or is it just something simon had to do since you did a test in SA.

@billc, recomendação is probably the most important point.

There are plenty of countries that are not so concerned about citizenship. Mozambique lets South Africans in, why not a Canadian? ;)
Central Africa is not to concerned where I hail from.
I could actually obtain my license in Limpopo because I took the course before the changes. Just never put in the effort after I met all the requirements. A little lazy on that front.

I hope to use my knowledge and skills again on an upcoming adventure.

And where might that be sir?

OK enough beating around the bush @BRICKBURN, spill the beans, fill us in....

Tomorrow. Honest.

Very well done, Sir. Just goes to show you, you're never too old to chase a dream. Good luck.

My joy is always in the learning.

Conradulations on passing the course! Not many folks pursue their dreams like that. Good on you.

Thanks.
Truthfully Rick, it was really more about being able to properly and actively be involved in the hunt when I arrived. It also provided great fodder for discussion with all my PH's.

Brick,

Oh yes there was something taken badly!

Ses, what exactly did you mean by that remark: " at my age (58)" LOL!!!!!

Seems to me the late, great Sachel Page said it best: " Age is a about mind over matter....if you don't mind, it don't matter"

That remark sounded more like it came from a 26 year old gym-bunny: "Oh yeah, he looks really good . . . . for his age"

I never could figure out exactly what she meant by that

(btw I'm 57)

Knock it off you youngsters !!☹️

You guys are hilarious.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
