Newer South Africa Revenue

So this is a newer thing I saw. Last time I went I didn’t need to do this. Usually I just clear passport control and walk right past customs, who are usually kicked back and playing on their phones at OR Tambo.

Anyone had any issues with it? I completed the online form and tells me to follow the green channel which, I had planned on anyway. I am also being met by Mr. X so I would think we would bypass customs regardless. Are they even looking at the form or proof of completion?

Last time I landed at Tambo in 2023 no one was in customs! We all just walked on by. Then the gal in security when I was being checked for flight to Port Elizabeth swiped my roll of red duct tape. Ah. Almost forgot about the new murals painted in the corridors before my second safari in 2021. Walked past the first one showing a busload of photo tourists at Kruger NP. Okay, that's nice. Next one shows a young white couple on bicycles touring ... the Townships! I kid you not! Yikes! They would be much safer touring Kruger on bikes. Arriving for my third safari I noticed all the new murals had been painted over in flat forest green paint. Sometimes I see almost as many uniformed staff as passengers ... most doing nothing but looking at their phones. Tambo is always an "experience."

Yes and all the big signs telling you not to tip or bribe the SAP! Lol
